Your POV

Takes place after her battle with Iruka.

In the evening...

As I am walking back to my apartment, I decide to take a detour and stroll around the village. I wave to some familiar faces, unaware of catching someone's eye on the way.

3rd POV

The sand siblings were at a tea shop, eating some snacks and drinking some tea when through the open window, they notice the familiar song girl walking by.

"Hey, isn't that the singing girl we met not too long ago?" Kankuro asked, munching on his biscuit.

Temari smirks, "Yeah, you're right. Surprisingly."

He ignores her as he smirks as well. "She is really pretty though. Wouldn't mind going on a date with her."

"Don't tell me you have a crush on her Kankuro." The blonde raised her brow.

Gaara was quiet throughout their conversation as his mind focuses on the h/c haired girl. Then, his seafoam eyes widened from hearing Shukaku, the one-tailed beast's voice growling.

"Follow her..."

Gaara gets up from his chair, catching the attention of his siblings.

"Gaara?" Temari asked.

"Where are you going?" Kankuro asked with his mouth full.

He stops midstep, not looking back he says, "I'm going for a walk." Then, he proceeds exiting out of the shop without another word.

Temari and Kankuro look at each other confusedly yet curiously. They shrug and continue eating.

Timeskip

Y/n has been walking for fifteen minutes when she looks up at the Hokage Rock. "Hm, I haven't gone up there in a while. Besides, I need to do more walking."

She pokes her tummy as she starts hiking up the path to the mountain. Gaara peeks near the wall, squinting his eyes.

'What does he see in her?' He transforms into sand and follows her again.

In the middle of the path, the little song girl looks around, seeing the birds and breathing in the fresh air. Their special song reaches to her ears, making her smile and close her eyes in content. Her e/c eyes open, seeing a bird couple snuggling up with each other on a tree branch and singing. Feeling the urge to sing along, she cautiously looks around if there's anyone near her. Gaara stays quiet behind a rock, then his breath hitches for hearing her voice.

She hums along, hearing the bird whistle in sync with her. (▶️⬆️)
