Ch. 14: The Assassin of the Mist

Your POV

After we had a run in with the Demon Brothers, we left them tied up to a tree and continued our way to the Land of Waves. The closer we get, the more foggy and less sunny it is out here. Then, we all stop at a dock where a boat with the driver waits for us.

"OH HECK NO!!" I yelled out.

Everyone looks at me in alarm.

"N/n chan! What's wrong?!?" Naru asked me worriedly.

I quietly mumbled my problem.

"What was that?" PB asked me.

"Mm et she shick."

"Speak up l/n!" Duckie this time demanded.

"I GET SEASICK OKAY?!"

Everyone got quiet for a few minutes until a few chuckles and giggles rang out.

"Don't laugh at me when I'm in crisis!" I said while blushing embarrassingly.

"I didn't know you get seasick." Kakashi told me teasingly.

"Well, I do after the incident." I revealed.

Everyone stopped laughing and got serious real quick.

They were about to ask me until I stopped them beforehand, "I don't want to talk about it."

They left it at that for now. I look at the rower and ask him a question.

"How long does it take to get there?"

The boatman immediately answers, "Thirty minutes."

"That's it! I'm out of here." I was about to turn away until someone picks me up over their shoulder.

"Hey! What the f—!"

"You're not going anywhere." Duckie told me, carrying me to the boat.

I look up and notice Naru and Mr. Kaka glaring at him while PB glares at me. I gave her a look that said, "What'd I do?!"

"Don't blame me if I throw up on you!"

He just "hn" for his response as he plops me on the boat like a sack of potatoes.

"Ow hey! The least you can do is put me down gently like a gentleman."

He did not say anything after I said that. I rolled my eyes and brought out ten pieces of gum from my pocket.

'I swear, he is bipolar.'

"Ooh! Can I have one n/n chan?" He reaches his hand out on getting one.

"Nope!" I slap his hand away. "I need to chew on them in order to avoid being sick." (A/N: Fun fact, it does help me overcome car sickness. :P)

"Uh y/n, I don't think that's necessary." Mr. Kaka sweat drops while Naru rubs his hand.

"My body my rules Mr. Kaka."

Everyone gets on the boat after that statement. As the boat leaves the dock, I quickly unwrap all of my gum and stuff them in my mouth. I began to chew and chew while focusing straight ahead. I noticed the fog getting thicker after several minutes of rowing.

PB looks around nervously, "This fog's so thick. You can't see anything."

The sitting arrangement on the boat is Naru on the front; PB behind him on the left side; me behind her on the same side; Duckie and Mr. Kaka sitting on the right side; and finally Tazuna sitting all the way in the back. After fifteen minutes of just fog, we finally see the unfinished bridge with loads of construction on it.
