Takes place after they passed the written part of the exam...

Your POV

After I passed my first exam, I told my friends that I will be taking a stroll around town. They were all right with it and waved me goodbye as they walked away.

'Looks like I have to be more aware of my next test. That freaking nerd and snake will be there!'

Feeling a bit stressed out, I decided to buy some sweet dangos for my fill.

After several minutes of walking, I finally arrived at a dango shop.

"I'll take one please?" I said kindly, bringing out my money.

The old man by the cashier nods his head with a smile. "Sure. Here you go kid."

"Thank you! Have a nice day!" I bow to him and exit out of the shop.

I look down to my sweet treat, seeing three different colored spheres on a stick: pink, white, and green. I chomp out the first one, imagining it to be Orochimaru's head as I keep walking.

"Oh, oh yeah. This is heavenly!" I breathe in through my nose and let it out. "I can see why Anko loves these! Mmhm~" My s/c face forms into a contented grin. 

Then, before I knew it, my feet reached the training grounds. The main spot with the lake nearby. I can feel the afternoon breeze blowing through my h/c locks as I keep eating my snack. I chose to sit by the lake, taking in the beautiful serene water in front of me. I look back to my last chewy dango, this time, imagining the gray haired rat Kabuto's face on it.

"Grrrr!!!" I viciously bite each piece off, showing the imaginary him who's boss.

I muffled, "Take that, and that! And that!!!" I swallowed, throwing away my stick.

I blow out some air towards my discarded hair that is on my face. I cross my chubby arms on my knees and lean my head on them with a pout.

"Who am I kidding? Like I have enough strength to defeat them. I can't even say anything serious to my family without them laughing at me." I can feel my e/c shudder with glistening tears.

But then, I blink them away, firmly stating, "No! I'm in this world now, so I need to learn how to grow up and overcome my problems!" Then, I look back to the lake, seeing my reflection.

My face slowly changes from angry to worry in no time. "But how?"

Meanwhile, with Lee...

Lee's POV

"498!" I panted out, still doing laps for my punishment.

Guy sensei is in the center, keeping track and making sure I learned my lesson. Isn't he the great sensei or what?!

"Remember Lee, you may go home until you finish two more laps." I heard his voice ring out.

With a determined nod, "Yes sir!" I put more energy to my arms and legs, running faster to the limit and making him proud.

In no time, I finally finished the 500 laps.

"Great work Lee!" He puts his hand on my shoulder, clamping it proudly like how a father would. "Now I suggest you head on home and take a shower. But don't mess up your hair." He flashes me a shiny grin with a thumbs up.
