Ch. 33: Special Report: Live from the Forest of Death

3rd POV

As the participants stare at their next obstacle, a familiar box shaped rock shuffles across the ground. Once they stop for a minute, Naruto and y/n turn to them quizzically. The box rock keeps on moving till its near Naruto and y/n.

Naruto stares judgingly at it while his eyebrow twitches. 'Fake rocks? What's up with that?'

The little song girl smiles, on the verge of laughing. 'They just never cease to humor me.'

The blonde turns the other way and walks forward, making the box follow him. Y/n watches them with her grin widening. As soon as he stop, the box stop as well. Quickly, he starts running back and forth along with the box. Y/n giggles from her spot, catching some of the guy's attention. The running continues as they gradually went faster and faster. All of a sudden, Naruto stops again and faces the box with his hands on his hips. The box skids to a halt once it sees Naruto right in front of it.

Naruto points at it with a disapproving frown. "That's the worst disguise of all time. There's no such thing as square rocks. It's completely obvious!"

The "rock" or Konohamaru says, "You saw through my camouflage again! You're slick Boss, just what I'd expect from my greatest rival."

Again, the box flashes to a blinding light, before erupting into three explosions: blue, yellow, and pink. Behind the colored smokes, reveals the three coughing kids: Udon, Konohamaru, and Moegi.

"I think we used a little too much gunpowder, you guys." Konohamaru coughs out.

"Didn't you guys learn your mistake from last time?" Y/n walks up to them with a smirk.

"Huh?" The three lift their heads and see the two Genins.

Moegi gets up first, "I'm Moegi, the sassiest kunoichi in preschool. Check me out!"

Next, is Udon. "I love algebra, call me Udon."

Lastly, is Konohamaru. "And I'm the number one ninja in the village, Konohamaru! And when we're all together..."

"We're the Konohamaru Ninja Squad!" Their goggles gleam as they finished their introduction.

Naruto folds his hands behind his head. "Yeah, I knew it was you guys the whole time. What do you losers want? I'm getting ready to take the second phase of the Chunin Exam, and you're interrupting me. I don't have any time to be playing around with you guys now."

Y/n smacks him on the elbow disappointingly. "You could at least be nice about it Naruto."

Konohamaru clenches his fist, "We didn't come to play around, Boss. We're on official business."

"Awe, how cute!" Y/n gushes with her cheeks turning pink.

"Yeah, that's right. We came here for an exclusive interview." Moegi explained to him.

Udon nods, "Uh huh, uh huh."

"An interview huh?" The blonde looks at them doubtfully.

Konohamaru puts both hands on his hips, "We're here on assignment to write an article for the academy's newspaper. It's a big-time feature story all about the Chunin Selection Examinations."

Moegi clenches her hands together in front of her face, "So that's why we want to do an exclusive interview with you and y/n. Please tell us you're going to do it?"

Udon bows a bit, "It would mean a lot." He sniffed.

"I would love to be in your interview guys, and I'm sure Naru wants to do it too. Right?" She gives him a warning stare.
