Ch. 23: The Broken Seal

3rd POV

Y/n's eyes widened from hearing Sakura's scream. "Sakura!"

Sasuke, who is in a crouch position with needles sticking out all over his body, looks up in alarm. 'That scream, that was Sakura! What's happening to her? Where is Kakashi?'

Both Sasuke and y/n turn their heads to Naruto's painful groan. "Sakura... She's in trouble..."

'We've got to break through.' Sasuke grits his teeth.

Then, Naruto who has a bunch of needles on his back, slowly gets up not planning to quit, "I'll bust us out of here."

'Naruto...' Both of the Genins thought.

"I'll fake him out." Naruto stands up with a pained smirk.

The voice of Haku echoes out, "You've exhausted my patience."

In response, Naruto concentrates on controlling his chakra making it spread out around him. After that, he rushes to the opening between the mirrors leading to Haku being one step ahead of him. However, Naruto did a last minute back flip to go run in an opposite direction. A second later, Haku catches up to him by running within the ice mirrors. Y/n and Sasuke watch apprehensively and see Haku stopping.

"Naruto behind you!" Sasuke shouted.

Naruto quickly turns around to find Haku standing behind him, preparing to throw his needles. Not having too much time to avoid them, he gets hit again making him fall to the ground.

"Naruto!" Y/n yelled out in concern.

"Your chance of escaping my house of mirrors is zero, that is absolute." Haku watches him, his face hidden by his mask, lacking any emotion.

Y/n and Sasuke run towards him. She puts her d/h hand on his shoulder feeling worried about her best friend.

"Naruto, are you able to get up?" Sasuke asked him. Naruto grunts in pain, putting both hands on the ground. "Try not to use any more chakra, you too y/n. That's only going to help him now."

"I know Sasuke, I know." Too exhausted to move, Naruto passes out.

Before his head drops to the ground, y/n catches him and sets him down gently.

'We can't go on like this. He's blocking every move we make. I've got to find a way to outmaneuver him.' The raven haired boy thought while standing up. 'My eyes have adjusted to his movements.'

"Looking for a counterattack?" Haku asked a bit haughtily, revealing himself in front of him. "I'll save you the trouble." With that, he throws another set of senbon needles.

Except, Sasuke picks up one of the discarded needles and blocks out all of them, not missing one. Y/n watches him in amazement, as she is still sitting near Naruto.

"What?!" Haku watches in shock.

The sound of falling needles ring in the dome as the Uchiha collapse on one knee.

He turns to Naruto, "Get up Loser! We've got to team up!"

Naruto groans trying his hardest to pick himself up.

"Come on Naru, I'll help you." Y/n encouraged him with care.

'I'm aiming at his vital spots now, but I can't get a direct hit.' Haku decided.

Naruto finally sits up with the help of the h/c haired girl, having a plan in mind. "I know what we have to do. Believe it, guys."

All of a sudden, multiple of Hakus show up and start attacking. Y/n quickly takes out her staff, and helps Sasuke on retaliating some of the sharp needles.
