Ch. 5: What a Wonderful Day

Naruto's POV

I stared at n/n chan, still on the floor stunned. She just never ceases to amaze me. When I hear her sing, she sounds like an angel, and the music she plays with her ukulele is soothing. Although I was enjoying her song, I unexpectedly stop moving to the beat when I heard the second verse.

'It's like she can read my mind. Where did she even hear this song? One thing I know for sure is that she is one of a kind and very pretty.' I thought dreamily with a light blush.

I shake my head and blink in disbelief.

'No, I can't like her. She's my best friend and I like Sakura. But, she does treat me with kindness and doesn't think I'm a loser. Unlike that Teme, Sasuke. I hope she doesn't leave me with that jerk. She even stood up for me when some of the villagers called me a monster and would not let me near their store.'

When her song was almost done, I noticed that both of her hands start to light up f/c and got even brighter as she is close to the ending. I was in too much shock to even stop her from playing. I mean I do want to know what happens next. Then, something crazy happened, her glowing hands shoot out a huge blast of light which made me fall off the couch in alarm. I feel my hair moving from the strong force of that light beam and saw it hit her dishes and flower pot. My blue eyes widen and I was in awe. I didn't know she can do that. She is just full of surprises. I look back at n/n chan, only seeing her just as shaken up as I am. She lifted her hand and sees that it's still glowing. I gulped and questioned what that was. I found out that it's her chakra. She explained to me how Old Man Hokage sensed her locked up chakra and must find a way to open it.

'I wonder why it was locked up in the first place? It doesn't matter, even with her chakra unlock I will still help her every step of the way. Believe it! Her chakra does look pretty strong though, wow.'

Then, I see her face slowly change into a victory grin.

Your POV

"I did it Naru! I FOUND MY CHAKRA!!! Whooooo! Now I can be a real ninja!" I yelled and laughed excitedly.

I grab both of his hands and help him up. Next, I jump for joy with Naru following. During the rest of the evening, we celebrated my accomplishment by having a big dinner and sleepover.

~The next day~

Naru and I woke up early in the morning. He said that he had to run some "morning errands." Knowing him, he's probably gonna do more pranks. We both decided to meet up later in the evening after I tell Gramps the good news. I finished eating my breakfast of toast and scrambled eggs and grab my instrument. As soon as I locked the door, I grab the black strap that is attached to both the neck and bottom of the ukulele and put it on like a cross shoulder backpack. I walk downstairs and head straight to the Hokage building. On my way there, I thought about trying out my new found chakra.

'I wonder if I can speed run there? Let's find out.'

I position myself into a starting runner pose and concentrate.

'Speed. I. am. speed.'

With that determined thought, I zoom out of there like Sonic the Hedgehog. I feel the cool wind blowing through my face and hair as I dash through, passing by other civilians. I finally arrive at Gramps's office and knock on his door.

"Come in."

"Morning Gramps!" I greeted walking in.

"Ah good morning Y/n, I'm assuming you have good news?" He asked with a smile.

"Yup! I figured out how to unlock my chakra."

Gramps looks surprise when he heard the news.

"That's great child, and may I ask how you found out?"
