Ch. 61: A Feeling of Yearning, a Flower Full of Hope

3rd POV

Y/n is heading back to her apartment with the three bears. It is now evening with the sun on the horizon and the sky turning a blend of purple and orange. The four are still thinking about Naruto's summoning problem.

Grizz looks down from the top of her head, asking, "Hey y/n? Do you think Naruto will be able to summon a frog by tomorrow?"

"Hm, not sure Grizz. Maybe he will, he is very persistent." She uses her finger to give the baby bear a little scratch under his chin.

Panda nods his head in agreement. "He sure is. I can't imagine the constant finger biting and losing a lot of blood." He shivers from the amount of stained blood on the floor.

The song girl rubs his ears in reassurance. "Awe, don't worry Panda. He'll be alright, he is the great Naruto Uzumaki."

As they continue their trek, the youngest bear's ear twitches from hearing a familiar voice nearby. With his white paw, he taps on y/n's shoulder to get her attention.

She dips her head to him curiously. "What's up Ice?" She watches him jumping off of her shoulder and trotting up to a bar. "Ice, wait, come back." She chases after him only to hear the voice of Himitsu giggling inside the building.

The small polar bear takes a whiff inside, only to cough out the awful alcohol smell.

"Oh man! What is that stench?!" Grizz cried out with tears in his eyes.

The h/c haired girl picks up the white bear and places him back on her shoulder. "That is what you call alcohol and desperation little cubs. You might want to cover your nose also."

"You don't have to tell me twice." The panda automatically covers his black button nose with his black paws.

Same with the other two, y/n steps through the curtains and searches for her sensei. It did not take more than three seconds to find the ginger since she is in the center of the room with crowded people around her cheering. Intrigued, y/n stalks closer through some people to find out that Himitsu is chugging a bottle of saki. Next to her is a table full of dozens of bottles.

"Oh boy." The Genin muttered under her breath.

"I bet you she won't make it." An old man betted his friend with money in his hand.

His friend grins, "You're on!"

After the last drop went down her throat, the kunoichi slammed the glass bottle on the table, causing it to shatter. Pieces of glass flew everywhere and the crowd stayed quiet in anticipation.

With a loud burp, "And that's the new record folks! Thirteen saki!!!" She raises her arms up high, bringing in her solid victory. "Ha ha! Now pay up boys!" The two bartenders groan in dissatisfaction as they round up their cash.

"Here, and don't ever come here again." One of them growled.

She wryly smirks and grabs her prized money. "Thank you very much and I beg to differ. This place won't be as packed when I'm not here so, good luck with that."

Wanting to get out of here soon, y/n clears her throat. Himitsu turns around in mild surprise to find her pupil and her bears in the adult bar.

"Ah kid just in time. You might want to help me hold my reward while I make my grand exit." She shoves the sackful of money in y/n's arms before waving and blowing kisses to the drunken crowd. "Love to stay and chat but I have to run. Good night everybody!"

Y/n and the bears just roll their eyes at her as they rush out of the suffocating room. The four take deep gulps of clean night air, relieved and thankful to be out of there unharmed.
