The disguised Orochimaru gets into his stance just as Sasuke brings out his kunai and holds it in his mouth.
'All I cared about was surviving, in order to defeat my brother. What a fool I've been. I see the truth now. Naruto, Sakura, y/n; if I haven't the courage to face this demon, how can I ever hope to face him?' Sasuke begins to run head on towards the enemy.
Orochimaru uses a hand sign first before dodging the Uchiha's incoming weapons. As soon as he bounces off a tree, he lets out a battle cry aiming punches and kicks against the older ninja. He didn't make his marks since the other keeps blocking them with his arms. Sasuke flips in midair and lands on the other side for a moment before both of them use their ultimate speed against one another. All of a sudden, Orochimaru leaps up in the air and lands on a crouch behind him. Then, with a whoosh, he disappears at sonic speed. Sasuke's Sharingan eyes open wide on guard, trying to pinpoint where he is. As the older ninja runs around the area, leaving a trail of dust behind him, Sasuke already finds him.
'I can see.' He jumps up avoiding the attack. 'I can see!' He performs his fireball jutsu and aims it towards him.
He takes another deep breath and let's it all out like a fire breathing dragon. The fire is so intense, that it forms into a vortex around Orochimaru. When it fades away, he's not there. Instead, he's underground, digging his way up to Sasuke. On a close proximity, he swipes his hands towards the boy but he misses. Sasuke did a backflip before letting out a sigh and getting into his stance.
'You're good. You anticipate my attacks, and your aim is true. You can see my moves, can't you?' Orochimaru squints his beady eyes at him.
With Anko...
The sun is setting, leaving the sky a bright amber orange. Anko is still on the search for the enemy. She swings herself around on a tree branch and stands on top of it.
She stares into the setting sun with a straight face. 'Sun's going down. I gotta find him soon. My odds are bad enough as it is. They'll only get worse in the dark. But why now? What the devil could he be after? No matter, he's here. Time to finish this.'
Meanwhile, with y/n and Haku...
Your POV
'Uuugghhhh, what happened?'
I can feel pain on my face and my abdomen. I try to open my eyes, but my eyelids feel heavy.
'Orochimaru, this was his doing. I have to go back and help them.'
With that determined thought, I manage to finally open my eyes, finding myself laying face front on a moss covered boulder. I groan, feeling even more pain when I try to move.
'Looks like I have to use the force.'
Lifting up my hand, I close my eyes again and concentrate my mind.
