The... the.. titans? Broke through the walls? Was it one of our warriors breaching the wall?
I'm so confused. I jumped out of bed and heard a loud, heavy knock on the door. I made me nervous since no one should know that this room is occupied in the first place.
Plus, Levi told me not to talk to anyone, so I'm not going to answer it. I waited a bit to see if they would go away. I would need to leave eventually because if the titans broke into Wall Rose, I'm sure as hell not staying here.
The person behind the door knocked again, but this time a soft voice followed. "Hey, (y/n). It's me, Levi. Open up the damn door, hurry."
I opened the door and he let himself inside. Immediately, he got comfortable and sat on the edge of the bed.
"I need you to get your stuff together and come with me." He seemed irritated, but a little distraught with his words.
"Come with you where? Am I even allowed to?" He grabbed my stuff and started to pack it up for me. Not like there was much. Just a change of clothes he lent me and a toothbrush.
"We'll get permission from the Commander, but we got news that the titans have broken Wall Rose and I need to know that you'll be safe. Since I'm injured, we'll be relocating outside of the walls and I can take you somewhere safe."
This man is so sweet.. here I am using him for my own agenda. I need to do what I came here for and if that means hurting someone in the process, then that's what I need to do.
For all I know, he could have been the one to kill my friends. I still don't know anything yet and I don't want to be stuck here for years like the others.
He handcuffed me again and we began walking. This time, he didn't put the cuffs on as tight, so I still had some wiggle room in my wrists. I followed Levi to a room that was occupied by two other military men. A tall blonde man looking out a window and a short shaggy brown haired man.
"Why can't these sons of bitches give us a moment's peace?" Levi said as we walked further into the room together.
"Can you go?" The blonde man asked. He was eyeing me curiously, but didn't ask any questions yet.
"Like there's a choice." Levi replied.
The blonde man that stood in front of me in the center of the room was a tall, lean man. His hair was slick and smoothed to the side. His face was both intimidating, yet soft. He spoke with a stern, loud voice and he kept his back straight when he commanded orders to the people around him.
I mentally blocked out the rest of their conversation because on the desk I saw files with the labels, 'Scouts, Garrison, and Military Police Brigade.'
Another folder on the desk read, 'Titans.' Well that's a very broad topic to have a file on. They continued their conversation and finally Levi tugs on my handcuffs to get my attention.
"I have a civilian here that lost her family in the fight. I had her in custody to find shelter for the night, but since the titans have broken the wall, I'll take the initiative to find her safety outside Stohess."
The blonde man seemed amused. I'm not sure why he was amused by this. I've been illegally sleeping in a military building. Weird, but I found it sort of hilarious. I'll remember this guy.
"Very well. You'll be riding alongside Hange and her guest. Eren, Mikasa, and Armin will always be with you."
Levi and I left the room and he guided me outside to meet with the group of people that were mentioned.
"Who were those people inside?"
"The blonde one was Commander Erwin Smith, he's head of the Scout regiment. The other guy, who the hell knows? There's so many of us."
