(a/n) before we start the chapter, I just want to note that I know the scouts and erwin knew nothing about Marley or the fact that there was humanity outside the walls until they reached the basement after the fight in shiganshina and that Erwin died before knowing anything so with that being said - i hope u can forgive me for tweaking the original aot storyline to fit my story instead :-)

ok that's all bye

I had finally reached Trost after a long walk.

I had walked for so long, that night fell hours ago. The sun would be up again in the next few hours.

No matter how tired I felt, the anxious feeling in my body kept me up.

After reaching headquarters, I knocked on Levi's door. There's an eighty percent chance he's not sleeping.

He opened the door with worried eyes and noticed it was me.

His face grew cold and angry.

"Where the hell have you been? You look like shit."

He grabbed my arm and saw the large burn mark.

"Who did this, (y/n)?" He was furious.

"Levi-"

"Who!? You need to tell me right now! They're dead."

"Levi, please. I need to talk to you," My swollen eyes gave away the seriousness of the conversation.

I let go of Levi's grip and walked towards Erwins room.

I knocked on the door, hoping he wouldn't be too angry for waking him up.

"Why are we getting Erwin for this?" Levi's voice was shaky.

He didn't know what I needed to talk about, but the fact that I had to involve Erwin must have meant it was urgent.

Shortly after, a tall blonde man stood in front me. "Oh, Levi and (Y/N), what can I help you with so late in the night?"

"Erwin, I need to talk to the both of you. Judging from your look the other day, I think you already know what I'm going to say."

He instantly allowed us inside. No questions.

He's a smart man.

I owe him a lot.

Levi's face never changed from cold and furious.

That scared me a bit.

We all sat down at Erwin's table.

The two men sat in front me, leaving me alone on one side.

"Erwin, do you remember when we talked that one day? You told me that you wanted to know what lies beyond the walls for humanity?"

"I remember."

I fiddled my thumbs, my palms grew shaky in my lap.

"Well, uh-. That's where I'm from... outside the walls I mean."

The two were quiet. They didn't understand what I was saying and it was hard for me to grasp my words.

"I mean that I'm not from this place. I came from a place that lies beyond the walls and across the sea. It's a nation actually, named Marley. There are a bunch of humans living there."

By the looks on their faces, they were trying to process the idea of there even being human life outside of what they've known.

I continued to explain what life was like on Marley. All the things they had that they didn't have here.

I told them about the Warriors. How I knew Reiner, Annie, and Bertholdt. I explained how my brother used to live here, everything.

It was like a heavy weight being lifted off of my chest.

"I knew what I needed to do when I first came here. When I left to go back to Marley the first time, I had a change of plans with what I wanted to do. I lost my family at such a young age. I came here to find out that my brother's life was spared."

I didn't need these people to feel sorry for me at all. I avoided making this about me and more about what I wanted to do.

"Anyways the point I'm trying to make is, I want to continue fighting alongside you. I don't want to go back to serving a military that makes life a living hell for our kind. It's just not fair."

"I see. What's your plan?" Erwin asked me.

Levi was still quiet. Avoiding my eyes.

"I want to help you guys. I know a lot of information that can help, I'm willing to do anything."

I got down on my hands and knees and begged for their forgiveness. I was desperate. I needed them to see my vulnerability.

"I'm not loyal to them anymore. I was happy there. I was engaged, I wanted my own family. There were so many things I tried to fill my life with to avoid reality. That changed for me when I came here. I no longer hold obligation or loyalty to Marley."

I took a deep breath and continued.

"They're in Shiganshina. Reiner, Bertholdt, and Zeke. The one who carries the Beast. They plan on fighting for Eren to surrender."

Erwin looked at me and reached his hand out to me. I placed my hand in his.

"I just needed this confirmation. I can't wait to see what lies ahead. As for you being from a different nation, that could be a problem. You've given us the information we needed, helped us in succeeding missions, and you've come here on your own free will, correct?"

"Yes sir."

"Then I forgive you."

Levi crossed his arms and avoided eye contact.

The room was tense.

I could see the sun slowly starting to rise.

"Ah, it's finally morning. (Y/N), will you meet me in my office in awhile? We need to strategize a plan. I'll be keeping a closer watch on you, I hope you understand."

"Yes sir, thank you."

"Levi," Erwin lightly smacked the back of his head, "Say something to the poor girl. She's waiting for your answer."

I looked at Levi with remorseful eyes.

He took a deep breath and looked me in my eyes.

"(Y/N)..."
