The ground quickly filled up below the two of you. Bright flashes of light. The loud cracking noises of new bones forming inside the former humans.

Levi's fellow comrades were now mindless titans.

A dozen, no two dozen. Maybe there were more? You couldn't keep track anymore.

Levi still held you by the waist as you both traveled through the tree's in an attempt to escape from the horror around the area.

They were quick and agile. They were still mindless titans with no intellectual ability, though they were faster than your average creature. These kinds of titans were faster at climbing, running, and grabbing. They were able to track your movements and quickly dive in for the kill.

Levi struggled to keep you balanced on his side as he swiftly moved through the forest. After finding a safe spot, far enough off of the ground, he placed you on a thick tree branch.

"Don't fucking move from this spot," he commanded. His eyes gave away his true feelings. Hopelessness. Disgust. Anger. Guilt.

You nodded in agreement, but he was already on the move.

Slashing the nape of the titans closest to you. His movements looked effortless and graceful as he moved from one titan to the next.

Watching the blood splatter and the bodies of the former humans fall, made your stomach churn. You swallowed to keep the vomit down.  "I'm not the one  killing my friends", you thought to yourself.

You were now feeling the need to pull yourself together so that you wouldn't be a burden and hold him back. This was the least you could do for him.

All of the titan within a 20 meter range were dead now. There weren't very many left. Once the last one was slashed up, Levi headed deeper into the forest. He glided through the trees in the same direction that Zeke had run off in.

Obeying his simple order, you remained in the tree. Observing everything around you made you feel faint and light headed.

Ever since you've gotten to Paradis, it feels like your life has gone 100 miles an hour nonstop.

If you could tell your former self how life would turn out to be, you would have appreciated all that you did have.

Or maybe you would have turned against Marley earlier and had more time to prepare yourself for the huge changes to come.

Who knew that just on the other side of the sea, was a whole civilization waiting to be saved. Waiting until they could be free from the shackles of Marley.

You hear loud screeches and screams from the direction of Levi and Zeke.

Even though you're 10 meters off the ground, it doesn't stop you from feeling the shakes and thuds from the fight nearby.

You can only pray that Levi has enough energy and ODM gas to make it through this fight alive. You knew he was exhausted, but leave it up to Levi to push himself past his limit.

After a few long moments, you saw Levi dragging what was left of Zeke's body back to the camp.

"Hello!" you waved your arms up in the air, "Please come get me! I hate these heights!"

"Shit, forgot you were up there," he grumbles.

Levi speaks something to Zeke before dropping his body back to the ground. In seconds he reaches you in the trees and guides you back down.
