**TRIGGER WARNING! BLOOD AND SEMI GORE**

discusses: wounds and blood

- - -

It's been hours of excruciating pain, lying in the mud. It was still raining, so the cold air didn't help with the pain.

You felt pain in your abdomen. You touched the area where you felt the massive amount of blood. There were deep wounds in your arm since you used your left arm to help protect your head during the fall.

The dry feeling in your throat made you feel even more sick than you already were. Your head was throbbing and you could feel the migraine from behind your eyes.

A broken arm is much less worse than a broken neck. Trying to control your body mid-air was not easy, especially when you were in shock the entire time.

You turn to look at Levi, but he hasn't moved. You can't even find the strength to see if he's even still alive. The only thing keeping you from thinking he was entirely dead, was that you could swear his chest moved a couple times.

Your body was in so much pain, but not knowing if he was alive next to you was what killed you the most.

You were fully awake and aware of your surroundings. There was a faint noise in the distance, though it was still too far to make out what it was. You could only pray that there was someone on their way to help.

Someone had to have heard about the incident in the forest. Anyone, please.

- - -

You felt someone aggressively shaking your shoulders and a faint voice to follow.

"Y/N...."

"Levi...please..."

"What happened to you guys?"

The shaking continued until you finally opened your eyes to a brunette woman wearing an eyepatch.

An eyepatch? You thought to yourself.

You recognized this person, but you couldn't get yourself to put a name to a face.

Then, there was another voice, actually many voices.

"... I don't know what happened here, but we got lucky. Our biggest threat, covered in his own blood. I'll send a shot straight through his head-"

"He's dead."

Your breathing stops. Is he really dead?

The person holds up Levi's head and examines his face. You keep one eye open just in case they'd want you dead as well.

"He must have been hit by a thunder spear explosion at close range. I saw something similar in a training accident. He may not look it, but his organs are in shreds. He died immediately."

Hearing the description of his condition is heart wrenching. You get that sick feeling in your stomach and in your chest. You can't even throw up because they'll notice you, so you swallow everything down and keep the tears in.

The man above holding the gun continues, "I know how to take a pulse. Let me see him."

Before the person holding Levi could respond, the men in the field are distracted by an enormous titan.

"Floch!! Something's strange about that titan!!"

The ground begins to rumble and the sound of the earth moving is loud and frightening.

"...No.."

"Is it disappearing? Did it... die? They don't normally suck steam into themselves when they disappear."
