It was hard walking away from him, but I was here for Marley.

I'm a respected soldier. An engaged and respected soldier.

I need to find my way back home.

To my comrades, my fiancé...

Porco..

What would he think about another man taking care of me? I could never tell him.

I couldn't even admit to myself that there was something about Levi that felt safe. He cared for me even when he didn't know anything about me. If he knew who I was and where I came from, he would never forgive me.

I found my way back to the castle, only to find Piecks tracks disappearing into the forest.

Where would she have gone? Did they leave..?

As I approached the castle, the first thing I noticed was that the stables were occupied by horses. I heard small voices coming from the lower level. I assumed the people who were inside were trying to find safety.

I walked around towards the front of the abandoned castle and finally found the large door to the inside. With shaky hands, I opened the door.

But I was wrong.

Sitting down in front of my eyes were Bertholdt and Reiner.

Sitting alongside them were few others.

As I opened the door, all their eyes were drawn on me. They were filled with fear.

I guess I startled them a bit.

"I didn't know there were people inside, my apologies." I set a firm glare on Reiner and Bertholdt as they both looked at me with trembling eyes. Sweat was building on their foreheads because they knew why I was here.

I continued, "I was trying to seek safety from titans, it's dark and I figured shelter was what I needed most."

"Well, welcome! We don't have anything to eat though, but I have some water if you'd like," A small blonde girl handed me a jug of cold water and I gladly accepted.

Next to her was a slim girl with a short brunette ponytail and a face with scattered freckles.

I decided to sit next to Reiner since he looked the most scared.

If they're still alive, why haven't they completed the mission? Who are these people that they're with? Don't tell me they got a little too comfortable with their roles here.

"So, where'd you come in from, new girl?" The brunette with freckles asked me.

"Ehrmich district."

"Woah lady, that far? How could you have possibly walked that far?" A bald boy questioned.

He talks too much.

"I'm a fast walker."

"Why don't you come with me in the room upstairs to search for food, there's gotta be somethin' around here to eat." Reiner stood up and offered me his hand.
