"(Y/N), be a good girl for grandma, okay? Your dad and I will be out for the night."

She kisses my forehead.

"This is for the best (y/n), all this time apart will one day be worth it."

He kisses my forehead.

Mom. Dad. They're gone. They left me for reasons I still don't understand.

Why did they try to defy Marley? This place was our only chance to be able to live a life as normal as we could get.

I just don't understand.

"Grandma, why did my parents have to die and take my brother with them?"

There was a loud beeping noise ringing in my ears. I had tape around my hands and one across my chest. My ears were ringing with a white noise everytime I turned my head. I slowly opened my eyes to a large room with a row of hospital beds.

I don't remember how I got here or why I'm even here, but I'm not going to hurt my head trying to think right now. My arm is hooked up to an IV line, so I start to wonder how long I've been here for.

The room seems quiet, but maybe it's just because I don't feel like I'm actually here

"Ah! I see you're finally awake, Miss." A tall older lady approached me with a warm smile. She was in a nurse outfit, so I could only assume she's been caring for me this whole time.

"I was worried you would be asleep a couple more days." She lifts my back and helps me sit up in the bed.

"Um, how long was I asleep for?" My head was wrapped in a bandage and it hurt like hell.

"Two days, as expected though. You were hit in the head pretty hard back at the castle. My guess would be that during the titan attack you were hit by concrete that was being thrown around."

"Thank you for the help, I appreciate it."

"You haven't eaten a proper meal in the past two days. I'll go grab you some soup and I'll be back."

I stayed sitting up in the bed and sighed.

I remember Reiner mentioned that my brother was still alive. I remember that woman Ymir had the Jaw as well.

So many things happened in a short amount of time that I didn't have time to even process everything.

I'm sure Reiner and Bertholdt have everything covered. I'll just have to heal up and find my way back. I just hope they haven't left without me.

In the middle of my intense thinking moment, I felt someone gently touch my shoulder.

I turned my head and locked eyes with a man who had cool toned blue eyes. The prettiest eyes. I could recognize them anywhere.

"Levi." My eyes widened.

He pulled up a chair and sat at the end of my bed. "Hey, mind explaining to me why the hell you left when I told you not to?"

I noticed his leg was wrapped up. I remembered he was injured and was probably here for a check up.

"I uh- I saw someone I thought I knew, but turns out I was mistaken. Then soon after, I just got lost in the crowd of people."

"That really doesn't explain much. How did you end with the scouts?"

"I don't really remember..." That was a blatant lie. I did remember why I left and how I ended up there, but I couldn't tell him that. It stung my tongue when I spoke a lie to him.

"Do you even remember how you got here?" Levi eyed me suspiciously.

"No, I don't. I just remember being at the castle with some people and shortly after, I got knocked out."

Levi scoffed. "How the hell did you even end up at that castle so quick?"

I clenched my fists. I wasn't sure what he was trying to get out of me. Maybe he could see through my lies and was trying to get a confession out of me. I won't cave in that easy though.

Right before I could answer, my nurse walked in with a bowl of soup. She placed it in front of me and set down a cup of green tea with it.

"Make sure you eat all of it! You need your strength back." She was just about the leave when she noticed Levi sitting with me.

She leaned down to my ear and whispered, "He's not bothering you is he? He can be a real pain in the you know where."

I laughed, "No, not at all." I gave her a sweet smile as she walked away.

I faced Levi and knew that I needed to answer him.

"Back to your question, I was trying to find shelter for the night. I couldn't find my way back since I was pushed so far with the crowd. Next thing you know, I was in a large field."

Levi placed a hand on his chin and crossed his leg over the other. He digested my words before speaking.

"When you were at the castle, did you see the hairy titan?"

The hairy titan?

Does he mean...

Oh my, Zeke!

Why was he in titan form? I really need to regroup with them.

"No. I didn't see, but that sounds disgusting. Titans are ugly as is, but a hairy one?" I made a fake puking noise and this seemed to make Levi chuckle a little.

He has a nice smile.

"I needed that laugh. So much shit has happened and I can't even be outside the walls to fight with my comrades."

"I'm so sorry to hear that, it must be tough being away from those you care about."

I leaned forward and placed my hand on top of his.

I blushed a little and I think he did too.

What the hell are you doing, (y/n). You're engaged, stupid.

I pulled my hand away in embarrassment and avoided eye contact.

"What? You got a crush on me or something?"

"What! No! I barely know you." I could feel my face getting red. Why does this always happen when I'm flustered?

"Besides, I'm engaged."

Levis eyes widened after I said that.

"I don't see a ring." He smirked.

I was going to give him attitude after that dumb comment, but the nurse walked back in.

"Miss, you have a visitor. She is going to take you back home." The small nurse opened the door to reveal a slim figure in the doorway.

A visitor? She?

"Oh, (y/n)! I've been looking for you everywhere. Please tell me you're okay?"

It was Pieck!
