The gruesome scene emerging from the stage area was too horrifying to watch.
The sounds of screams and pleads.
"Why is this happening?"
"What's going on?"
"Has anyone seen my son?"
My feet were planted into the same spot for what felt like hours.
I couldn't get my body to move.
I needed to run before the chaos reached me.
Then I remembered that Zeke instructed me to stay here. If he knew this was going to happen, he would come get me.
But I can't just stand here watching tragedy from afar.
I started to run towards the stage area, trying to dodge the falling debris from the buildings.
My feet couldn't catch up with my body because I wanted to move faster than I actually could.
I tripped over my own steps landing on my hands and knees. My eyes instinctively shut when I plummeted to the ground.
When I opened them, I was hovering over the body of a woman holding her child.
She was trying to protect him, but it wasn't enough.
Why, Eren?
Why come to hurt innocent people?
This wasn't the Eren I recognized from the Island.
A downpour of tears streamed from my eyes, down to my cheeks, and onto the face of the lifeless woman in front of me.
"I'm so sorry."
As I stayed in place on the ground, I saw my old comrades in their Titan forms.
Pieck, Porco, and Zeke.
From the angle I was positioned in, I couldn't see the people they were fighting. They wore all black suits with gear that looked similar to ODM.
I picked myself up from the ground and dusted off my hands. Zeke wasn't making any moves yet.
He was scanning his eyes around the arena trying to look for someone.
"Eren Yeager is not my enemy. Someone else comes first..."
Zeke crushed the giant rocks in his fists.
"Show yourself, Levi."
I gasped.
My heart felt like it was going to stop.
My throat swelled up.
I spotted a building still intact and used the ladder on the side to climb to the roof.
If I wanted to see Levi, I needed to get a better view. It's not my place to fight this battle, but I needed to see his face just once.
Even if I died getting struck by Zeke's boulders, I needed to see him. To not forget his face.
My eyes scanned the entire area, but I couldn't see Levi.
No one was moving.
Suddenly, a large burst of light flashed from the docks.
It was so bright I had to cover my eyes with my arm. Its-
It was the Colossal Titan.
I remember from Zeke. He told me that there was a high chance of Bertholdt's Titan being taken.
After the nuclear-like burst had settled to fire and ash, the buildings in the distance slowly started to collapse.
I heard Porco's voice, "The Colossal Titan! Bertholdt had his life and titan taken from him! Damn you! I knew you had to have had a plan!"
Looking closely at the people attacking them, I saw Mikasa.
The black suits were the Scouts.
They had all come here.
So, where's-
A loud crash came from behind me. I turned around and stood on the edge of the tall building I was on.
Zeke's Titan was steaming from the nape. On top it was...
"LEVI!"
He stood at the nape of Zeke's Titan and threw a bomb into the nape, blowing it up to pieces.
My eyes grew wide at the sight.
That was too easy for him.
Well, It doesn't look like he'd be able to save me now.
I started to make my way down the ladder, but when I reached the floor, someone grabbed me from behind and covered my mouth.
They threw me over their shoulder and ran towards an open area outside of the stage area.
From looking at their shoes I knew exactly who it was.
"Zeke? What the hell! Didn't you just die?"
"I'll explain later, for now just shut up."
"What the hell is going on, Zeke!" I started to punch his tail bone demanding answers.
There was too much havoc and I don't have a clue what to think.
"I said shut up, dammit! For once in your life, (y/n) just follow a simple order."
I pouted silently. He was right.
I didn't know where he was running to, but he stopped in the middle of the internment zone where it was quiet. No one was around.
Eren was still in his Titan form in the distance.
"Good. You wore the black coat just like I asked. Put your hair up as well," Zeke handed me a hair band and I did as I was told.
There were two tall men in black suits running towards us. One of the men grabbed my waist and held me up on his side.
He shot up a grappling hook towards a blimp that was above us.
"Do what the nice man tells you to do alright, (y/n)?" Zeke was being held by the other man making his way up to the blimp.
We reached the top and I was placed in a small room at the front.
I sat on the floor and Zeke took his seat next to me.
Standing with us was a blonde woman that I had met once before.
"Yelena." Zeke nodded towards her.
She nodded back and looked at me with confusion, "Zeke, this wasn't part of the plan."
"Things change, obviously."
I sat on the floor wondering why we were on a blimp with the Scouts.
Zeke hated them from what I can remember. Everything he did back on the Island was pure hell for them.
Was this his plan all along? The plan he kept from me?
Before I could continue to ask myself any more questions, the door in front of us opened.
The sound of their footsteps slowly entered the room.
It was him.
Standing right in front of me after 4 long years, there he was.
After so long, we finally locked eyes.
I remembered them to be so beautiful, but looking at them now I had noticed that sorrow had taken over.
His face was filled with shock.
He opened his mouth to speak, but I beat him to it.
"Levi."
