Levi's POV

"Sir! I have a message from Commander Erwin!" The young MP hands me a rolled up paper then stands at the door quietly.

"Thanks, you can wait there for a second."

The Scouts have been in hiding because we refuse to give up Eren and Historia.

The government believes we're doing this for our own gain, but it's more than just that.

I open the letter and read it carefully.

Deliver to: Captain Levi,

I have hired an advisor for the Scouts recently. She's been informed on the situation and will be working closely with the Scouts as I have become unavailable. As you read this letter, she has started her walk to the hideout and should be there very soon.

Keep a close eye on her and don't let her slip. She has political and military experience that we can use to our best advantage.

Everything will work out according to plan.

Best,

Commander Erwin Smith

Who the hell did this blonde bastard hire? He really just gives anyone and everyone the benefit of the doubt.

Before I could complain to the messenger, I heard Jean's loud mouth greeting someone.

It must be her.

I slip the letter into my pocket and exit the small room.

As I walk into the kitchen area of the cabin, I see her.

"(Y/N).. what the hell?"

(Y/N) POV

I couldn't act surprised because I knew he'd be here.

A part of the reason I chose to join the Scouts as an advisor was to meet Eren and Mikasa. Although I knew a little about them. I shared a cart ride with them when I had first met Levi.

I wanted to gain their trust in hopes of learning more about my brother.

With Levi also being here, it was just a bonus.

A very lucky bonus.

I stepped closer to him.

"It's been awhile." I looked down at the floor to hide my blush.

When I look up, he's gone. He bolted out the front door and slammed it, clearly pissed off.

What the hell could he be mad about, I just got here?

"So, uh. That's your name? (Y/N)? That's kinda hot. I'm Jean."

He gets shoved by a tall boy with a buzz cut. His hair looks soft and... gray?

"He's not important, I'm Connie." He winks at me.

I giggled at the gesture. Everyone introduced themselves to me and it felt nice. I talked with everyone for a bit, then decided it was time to face Levi.

As I headed for the door, Eren followed me.

"Hey, don't be too angry with him. The Captains been through a lot I'm sure he didn't mean it."

"Thanks Eren, but I think I can handle it."

I heard noises coming from behind the small cabin, so I peeked around the corner to spot a sweaty Levi cutting wood.
