I couldn't believe it! She was really here, for me. Her long soft brown hair had never looked so pretty. I never thought I'd ever miss her so much.
I couldn't use her real name in front of these people since she was a shifter, so I needed to refrain from calling her by her name.
"I'm so happy to see you!" She embraced me with a hug.
She leaned close to my ear so that no one else could hear, "We're going back." Her words felt cold as she reminded me of where I belonged.
I pulled away from the hug and nodded. I felt hopeless that I couldn't disagree or refuse.
I turned to the small nurse who was starting to clean up the room. "I guess I'll collect my things. How much do I owe for the hospital services?"
Levi stood up from his chair, "No need. The military will cover for you."
"Well, thank you." I gave him a smile.
Pieck and I collected my things and left the clinic.
We didn't say a word to each other because we didn't want anyone to hear our conversations. We reached a secluded area in a large grass field.
She sat down under a large shady tree and I followed.
Around the tree were blue flowers surrounding us. They flowed with the light breeze that passed us.
Pieck sighed, "Reiner and Bertholdt blew their covers."
"I'm not surprised. Reiner was acting strange back at the castle, I guess it was only matter of time." I stretched my legs out and laid down on my back in the grass. Soaking in the sun felt nice.
"You have to keep your bandage on for another week. I'll help you out with it."
"Thank you, Pieck. For helping me and getting me out of that clinic."
"So, who was that man? Sitting with you?" She nudged my arm in hopes of getting more information. Pieck wasn't the type to give me a hard time over things. She was just a tease.
"He's just a friend I met here. Nothing to worry about. I'm loyal to Porco."
She held a blank expression on her face, something tells me she didn't believe me.
"We'll stay here until dark. Then we will leave through the small breach in the wall."
"There's a small breach? No one has noticed?"
"Well how do you think I got in to save you!" She punched my arm in a friendly way.
Pieck has always been so kind to me. I could never imagine turning my back on my comrades. I guess that's just what I kept telling myself. A part of me was starting to open my eyes to life on the island.
The way Levi treated me. The way that small blonde girl showed me kindness with just a simple act of giving me water when she hardly had any.
I see people in the streets fleeing from their homes to seek safety, but nowhere here is safe. Ever since I got to this island, my mindset has been shifting. I see both sides of the conflict, but I would never get in between.
I need to stay hopeful that one day things could fall into place. For now, we need to retake the Founding titan. It's our only way of keeping Marley and the rest of the world safe from the rumbling.
I moved my head onto Piecks lap and she played with my hair softly. I closed my eyes and rested with her under the shady tree.

Sunset came quick and we had to start walking. She held my hand the whole way. I think she was worried I'd lose my balance from my head injury, but I felt fine.
By the time we reached the small breach in the wall, it was night.
I'm surprised no one has found this yet. We both fit through the wall and walked to the outside.
After we made some progress away from the wall, Pieck had turned into her titan form. She guided us through the field undetected.
We walked all night. Luckily, I got some sleep so I was able to talk to Pieck and keep her company. She could communicate through her titan, but she didn't like speaking unless she needed to.
A long night passed and we reached the dock by morning. The sun was rising and we reached the wall that blocks the view of the sea.
Pieck turned back into a human and we both were escorted up the wall with the equipment they had.
As we boarded the boat, I noticed that Zeke was accompanied by Reiner, Bertholdt, and Ymir.
I sat next to Bertholdt and gave him a warm hug.
I looked at Reiner and nodded.
"Sorry, you can continue, Chief." Bertholdt gestured to Zeke.
"So, Eren Yeager?" Zeke said.
"Yes." Reiner responded. "Eren possesses the Founding titan and what seems to be vital information hidden in the basement of his home in Shiganshina district where he grew up."
"Did you hear anything from Eren about his father?" Zeke asked.
Bertholdt chimed in, "If I'm not mistaken, Eren said he used to be a doctor and is now missing."
Zeke was speechless and I wonder why. His eyes were wide in shock. The words that were spoken were like needles piercing the inside of his ears.
Vomit building in his throat at the sick though of his father starting another family and corrupting his offspring, yet again.
'They had the same last name, but what do we know? Eldians are a small race of people. Maybe it was a distant family member.' Zeke thought to himself in attempt to convince himself that his father wasn't alive and doing the same shit he did before.
Everyone knew not to pry. Zeke was a quiet, but sensitive man.
I looked at Ymir and I had so many questions, but maybe now is not the time.
Right now, I just want to focus on getting home.
