Levi POV
Back on Marley

Dear Y/N,

Since everyone on Paradis has learned the whole truth about the world and the land that lies across the sea, it was hard to forget about you when every meeting we had was about the new land that had been discovered.

To know that you were living your life somewhere else. Living your life in a place that was so foreign to me.

The stories you had told me about your home before sounded so fascinating, but since the Walls were all that I knew, I couldn't imagine what another place was like no matter how many times you described it.

I sat on the edge of the small boat that was taking us to Marley for the first time.

Hange kept bothering me about useless things such as, "What should we eat when we get there? Should I bring back some of their dirt to see if it's different from ours? Do they all live in fancy homes?"

I tried my hardest to ignore Hange's squealing and turned my attention towards Eren, Armin, and Mikasa.

Seeing those three brats stare at the sea in admiration was the only thing that made me feel okay.

Once we hit land, we departed with confidence... sort of.

We all had a long talk about blending in and being discreet about who we are and where we were from. There was some sort of festival going on in the streets. It was crowded with people, it was fairly easy to blend in. Until, Jean, Sasha, and Connie tried ice cream for the first time.

As we continued walking through the streets of Marley, I looked for you in the crowd of people.

Even though I knew there was a slim chance of seeing you, I still kept my eyes open.

What the hell have you done to me, y/n?

I've never been a soft kind of guy. I've never been in love before. Is this what that is? This feeling of a heavy heart because you're away?

I'll never feel this way about anyone else and I'll keep these feelings to myself because they remind me that you were once here. Alive. With me.

As I write this letter, Hange is trying to sneak a peek over my shoulder. She's annoying as hell, but I don't know what I'd do without her. Don't tell her that though.

So until you come back home to me, I'll still look for you in crowds. I'll still leave the door to my room unlocked.

This letter will be left in my private drawer by the way.

You can read this when you come home.
