Outlander - Jamie x oc x Lord John 9

At the estate in Virginia a carriage arrived. Jamie and Roger sat at the front,controlling the horse. Claire, Brianna and Jeremiah were in the carriage. The men jumped down and helped the ladies out. John, William, Isabelle, Reinette and Grayson stood waiting for them. They twins stood between John and Isabelle. The walked towards each other.

"What a pleasure to see you my friend." John smiled.

"It is indeed."

"Mistress Fraser, Lady Brianna." he bowed his head. They curtsied 

"Lord John."

"I believe you've met my daughter Brianna. This is her husband Roger Mackenzie." Lord John bowed his head.

"An honour. allow me to induce my son William." William stepped forward and bowed his head.

"His Governess Lady Isabelle and her children Reinette and Grayson." Isabelle curtsied, she then knelt to the children and whispered something. They waved smiling.

"Reinette, Grayson." Jamie walked over to the two and knelt down. "Look at how much you've grown." Reinette hid behind Johns legs and Grayson behind his mothers skirt. Jamie tried to hide the hurt on his face

"Don't be frightened." Isabelle stated picking her son up, John lifted up Reinette.

"This is your Papa, can you say hello?" Grayson hid his face in his mothers neck. Reinette however looked at Jamie.

"Hello" she mumbled, earning a smiled from the adults

"Good girl. Grayson, look. You see the young girl with red hair." he looked at Brianna and nodded

"That is your older sister Brianna." Grayson looked at his mother confused.

"Belle, maybe you shouldn't overwhelmed them." John advised. Isabelle nodded

"Well lets all go inside, you must have had a long journey. We've prepared rooms for you all and little Jeremiah. They were all taken inside and shown their rooms.

Later on in the day there were offered to join for tea out in the garden.  Isabelle was playing a game with the children, while John was looking over some papers. He looked up to them and put what he was reading down.

"Ah there you are, I trust your rooms suffice." they all nodded

"Thank you" They all sat down and were served  tea. William chased Isabelle while the twins laughed going to follow. William tackled Isabelle to the ground as the laughed.

"She doesn't seem to be a conventional governess?" Claire commented. John chuckled

"trying to apply logical reason and conventional means to Isabelle is something I have found impossible."

"Isabelle seems familiar has she ever been to Boston?"  Brianna asked looking at they young woman. Lord John thought about it, then shook his head.

"Not that I know of." Brianna furrowed her eyebrows, something felt familiar about her yet she couldn't place her finger on it. Isabelle left the children to play and came to sit down.

"Having fun?" Jamie asked with a smile

"A lot, you should try it sometime." she breathed heavily "Besides every child deserves a childhood filled with fun and happiness."  she sat down and had some tea. A servant came out with a silver tray and stopped by Isabelle.

"A letter came for you Ma'am" Isabelle took the letter.

"Thank you." she opened it up and read it.
