Paige stood back as Derek set the bags on the table "So I got you the basics. Here something proper to eat." he handed her burger, fries and drink. They sat down and ate. Paige ate in earnest.

"Slow down, you'll make yourself sick." she did and he wiped his mouth "Paige, I need to tell you something." Paige stooped mid bite had food hanging out of her mouth.

"In order to help you. I needed to call a friend. He knows about the supernatural, and is well connected. With his help we can get you out of here and settled with a new family and trusted one. They'll keep you safe and hidden from the Cullens and the Quilietes." Paige finished what she had and gulped

"Why can't i stay with you?" she questioned

"Because they'll put the pieces together eventually. You'd be in more danger in the long run. Chris and his daughter Allison are good people. I'll need to lead them away from you till they get bored. Paige I promise you'll be safe."

Chris and Allison Argent touched down in Seattle and then called Derek who gave them the motel and the room number. With a knock on the door Paige stepped back as Derek nodded and let them in. They greeted each other before introducing Paige. Allison looked at her Dad and friend before stepping closer.

"Hi, Paige. I'm Allison." she smiled softly "My Dad and I are here to help, Okay." she assured the young girl

"How about we start with getting you washed and into some fresh clothes. Does that sound fair?" Paige looked to Derek who nodded. Paige agreed and Allison took the bag of toiletries and took Paige into the bathroom.

"She looks terrified. What did they do to her?" Chris breathed 

"What didn't they do." Derek grumbled "She couldn't even tell me what made her run, all she knows is that she was in more danger and she had to run. She can't say if she's mainly human or vampire only both, though judging by the cuts and bruises, she's fairs more human in some regards." Derek moved to pack a backpack he bought with more clothes.

In the bathroom. Allison ran a bath and turned to the girl, who kept quiet. Allison didn't push, when the bath was ready was the time Allison saw the extent of what was going on. She helped Paige in and freshened up. Then tried to detangle the matted hair. Paige whimpered.

"Sorry." Allison sighed "Wait here." Alsion left the bathroom and came in with her own toiletries then pulled out first aid scicors. Paige eyes widened

"Don't worry. I won't hurt you. I just...i think it's better if you start fresh, I'll cut off the mattered hair and then it will grow out better. It won't hurt, I promise." Allison cut the hair till it was half way down her neck "There, better." she brushed the short hair and then dried it." There was a knock and in came Derek's hand with clothes.

"Thanks." Allison helped her dress and then the two came out. The two me looked at them

"Much better." Derek nodded in approval as Paige yawned. "You guys get some sleep. I'll take first watch." Alison guided Paige over to the bed where she laid down looking at her protector, giving another nod of reassurance she closed her eyes. For the first time since she'd been born. She was safe.

Meanwhile in Forks, The Cullens and the Quilietes had been searching for Paige for the past couple of days not knowing that she had already left the town. Jacob stood with the rest of the Cullens.

"They've searched everywhere for her. There's no sign or scent. The Clearwaters house was ransacked so they're presuming she went there in search for food and clothes before running off somewhere else." Jacob explained

"how is that possible?!" Bella grumbled "It's not like she can get far, she's a kid and a dumb one at that. Alice can you see anything?" they all turned to Alice who stared into space.

"No, all I'm seeing is a blazes of distraction anytime I look." Alice shook her head as Renesmee watched on in annoyance. She changed her look to one of concern.

"Is she gonna hurt us Mommy?" Renesmee questioned and her mother brought her into her embrace.

"No we won't let that happen." Bella looked to Edward "We need to find her and hand her over to the Volturi, before she get's us all killed."

Back in Seattle, Chris came back to the hotel room. Paige had decided that if she was going to get away from her family and her messed up world then she needed to have faith that it would happen and it could. She had gotten this far with Derek and he hadn't done anything to make her think that he was bad like them. Chris and Allison had been nothing but nice and welcoming. So when the former came back he had an envelope in his hand.

"I got it."Chris went over to the table and spilled out the contents. "Passport, documents and a paper trail, all saying that Paige is one of us." Paige lifted up the Passport and looked at the picture that was recently taken.

"Paige....Argent?" She read out.

"Yes, you're one of us now." Allison chimed just as Dereks phone rang and they all looked to it. Derek glanced down and then back up. The Clearwaters had been calling him since he left, but never answered. "The tickets are booked we leave tonight. Your coming home with us, where you'll be safe and they'll never hurt you again. We promise." Allison talked over the ringing.

That night Chris and Allison left Derek at the motel, he finally answered the call and would stay here till Paige was safely away. The three of them went to the airport and boarded for the flight back to California and to Beacon Hills. Paige stared down at the treskellion necklace that Derek had given her before leaving. It was his mothers and a promise that he would come back. Derek bold face lied to the Quilliete wolves about what happened the day that he had left and they believed him, However, Edward who had come with them, didn't. Derek had been warned by Paige that some of her family had powers one was able to read minds so it took everything in him to keep his thoughts buried deep about Paige.

Edward paced back and forth back home. He had relayed what had happened.

"He knows something. I don't know what he somehow resisted but he knows something." Edward insisted.

"Edward, we'll find her. We'll go to my Dad in the morning and he'll put the word out for her. But we'll need to come up with a name for it." Bella assured him "He'll need one." Edward sighed.
