Elijah x Reader - Mistrust 3

"Mom! Grace!  Have you seen my keys!" James shouted looking around the ground floor

"Kitchen table!" you called back finishing getting ready.

"Thank you."

"Mom aren't you supposed to be  leaving soon?" Grace asked leaning against the doorframe

"Yeah, okay." you stood up and grabbed your bags leaving the room.

"I will be gone for a few days, make sure you lock up, tell me if you doing anything unplanned like emergency stuff and..."

"If anything happens and we can't get a hold of you..." James carried on your speech

"Call Uncle Nik. And if it's life or death fly over. We know." you smile and give them both a kiss before leaving.

"Okay we have several meetings. I'll drop you off." James draped his arm over his sister and they left as well

--A week later--

James and Grace were panicking, you hadn't been seen or heard off in a week, there was no contact and since becoming a mother you were a creature of habit.

"I think it's time we call Uncle Nik." Grace stated

"Calling." he put the phone on speaker it rung out a few times but went to voicemail.

"Ok we'll try him again in five." Grace's phone rung and she went to answer it while James tried Klaus again. but there was no answer. Grace came back even more worried.

"That was the hotel, Mum never checked in. She got on the plane and she touched down but she never checked in."

"Uncle Nik isn't answering either."

"I don't know about you but something id defiantly wrong if neither of them are picking up. I'm packing." James nodded and threw a few things into a case as did Grace. The made flights and headed to the airport.

Fourteen and half hours later and they arrived in New Orleans and they made their way to the compound. Once they arrived they were quick to find their uncle not compressing the fact that this is where their mother lived before they birth or the fact their father would be there.

"Uncle Nik!" the twin shouted walking in

"Uncle Nik!" they tried again

"Can I help you?" the turned round and came face to face with Elijah. Grace felt the need to question the likeness between this man and her brother but they had more pressing matters.

"Yeah, we're looking for our Uncle, Niklaus Mikaelson. He's not answering his phone or text and we need his help." James told him

"Why do you refer to my brother as your Uncle?"

"None of your business, have you seen him or not, we have more pressing matters than for someone who were not looking for is playing 20 questions. Where is he."

"Sister, please. Getting angry won't help."

"He's the one not telling where Nik is. James, Mom is missing and you know the rules something happens we call him, he's not answering we come here, he supposed to be here, he's supposed to know what to do. We don't know what to do." she freaked out. James pulled her into a hug.

"Look we will oblige answering questions once we know where our Uncle is."

"Indisposed."

"What does that mean?" Grace glared, Elijah didn't answer grace got angry and removed her bracelet to unleash her power.
