Night turned into day and back into night again when Quinn opened the door to Alex's hospital room.

"I got something." she told Olivia, who got up and left the room to come back to the temporary set up.

"Right. Albert Frobisher was a a volunteer at the blood drive that Maria got a sample of the Presidents blood from. Maria payed Albert to look the other way, he did, until he didn't. "I looked into the mafia connection, I spoke to some people, Giovanni was a hot head, he wasn't under orders, he went rouge so as far as their concerned they're not going to help him." Huck declarecd coming in.

"So we have a opeertunitist investigator and a viable lead that went no where. Anything on who could be the father of Alex unborn baby?"

"How does a NYPD Forensics investigator get caught up with as NSA officer in a different state?"

"I met Alex a few years ago, at a conference, don't let her humble credentials at the NYPD fool you, she's a leading expert in her field, she does what she does because she loves it." Jake spoke with Abbie after getting a earful from not only the President but Olivia.

"So what you two randomly hook up, whenever you there or she's here?" Abbie questioned

"Because she said that it got complicated, that her father would freak out, which made no sense because she doesn't have a Dad." Jake sighed and Abbie nodded heading back to the white house. But told Olivia what had happened.

"Okay so, somehow two months ago, Alex knows that her boyfriend just so happens to be friends or at least close with her father. Not wanting to complicate things she ends it, assuming that she's not aware she's pregnant. It's a blow but it happens. Are we sure that communication between the two stops?"

"Jake tries to call her for a month but seemingly gives up." Quinn nodded

"Guys." Harrison points to the TV where the news is running with the story about Alex, who was shot was the 'illigitame daughter of the sitting president. And that a mystery figure had come forward saying that a demand had been made but ignored and this was the consequence

"Demand, what demand?" Olivia asked over the phone.

"I don't know, nothing got through to me, do you really think i would put her life in that kind of danger."

"It was me." Cyrus voice interrupted everything "A couple of months ago, I got a letter, meant for you but through some idiocy got to me. I passed it along to the relevant people, I didn't want to bother you with it, but it was reported back that it couldn't be traced, nothing suggested that it was more than some stupid trick."
