Father and daughter entered from either side of the tent that had been placed up in the middle of the field. Henry assessed over his daughter. The last he has seen her, she was standing next to her sister on a balcony after visiting Elizabeth. Now she was a grown and married woman with a child growing her belly. She oozed her mothers confidence and strength that he has not seen in nearly three decades."Papa." she spoke first curtsying to him
"You do not greet your King in a proper manner?" Henry wondered cold to his daughter who had been causing trouble for almost a year
"A King is a man to be respected. I respect you not as a king but a man who helped create my sister and I." Isabella defied him, she sat down, but Henry did not follow "Don't pout Papa, it doesn't suit you Sit down." Henry reluctantly did.
"You have grown." Henry commented.
"I left a girl and returned a woman. It is true. Shall we adjourn to business? In think we shall. You're alone in the world Papa." Isabella told him
"How so?"
"Since you tried to remove my mother as Queen and force a harlot onto the throne disowning your true heirs at the same time and repeatedly dishonour God, I plan to replace you as Monarch of this country." Isabella declares before her father. There was a moment of silence, before Henry started laughing. Isabella seemed unfazed by this.
"You are a child Isabella. A girl child cannot rule a country. You dare to try and take the throne from me? I am the King!" he yelled to her face. She sat there passive.
"Not anymore." she told him "Don't say I never fight fare. Well the Tudor version of fair. I knew you wouldn't simply hand it over, which is why you're here and not at home." she smirk and rose to her feet
"What do you speak of child." Isabella turned to the soldiers around the room
"Restrain him." the stepped forward unsheathing their swords and aiming it at him, any move he would make wouldn't be pretty.
"I admire Grandpapa's accent to the throne, it's why I chose this place. He took it from Lady Grandmother's uncle and I take the throne from you. Just with less bloodshed. As we speak my army is marching on every royal household taking it over, mainly Hampton court. With the help of my allies, any loyalist to you that could be a problem is being arrested. Long Live the Queen."
"Long Live the Queen!" the soldiers repeated
"You cannot do this!" he denied " You're not even the eldest."
"I can actually, Mary gave up her right to avenge our mother, our country and our faith. We're leaving."
Isabella Tudor had taken over England in a bloodless coup. She distracted her father while her army marched on London taking over every royal establishment of power and announcing that today marked that day of Queen Isabella Tudor ascending to the throne. At first people couldn't comprehend what was being told to them yet in the next days events made it clear.
Queen Isabella rode into town with her father behind her in chains under arrest for adultery, and murder adjacent of her mother Queen Catherine of Aragon. It was announced up and down the country in the days to come, King Henry was King no more by declaration of not only the Pope but the rest of christendom and her sister Mary.
Isabella Tudor was now Queen of England.
Isabella glided down the aisle of Westminster as nobles and gentry watched on. Isabella had done what no other monarch had done, she had taken the throne without a drop of blood. She sat upon a clean throne for now. Phillip watched in proudness, in a stroke of mastery Isabella had given him the title of Prince Consort, which in the powers that be gave him almost the same power as his wife, though she would still be higher, in her confinement in a few months, he would be able to assume her role for the short period she would be busy.
Isabella knelt before the alter as the ceremony began. Her sister smiled proudly as she gazed at her sister. Though technically it should have been her, Mary loved Isabella and was proud at the action she took to right what had been put wrong including her title and place in the world. She had also advised her sister to take in Elizabeth for it was not her fault of who her mother was. Isabella accepted her sisters advice earnestly and began to form a relationship with her young sibling.
Jane Seymour who was now in confinement and a deposed Queen was watched over her brothers and family. But not her husband who had conveniently been sent away to the same place he had sent there mother in exile but close.
"God Save the Queen!"
