The punishments of the family were in full effect, Klaus had begrudgingly secluded himself and Freya was in control of her vampire abilities, tough her emotions were sometimes left to be desired, she was still trying to cope with not feeling the connection to the earth. Once a month Ana listed her mother on a full moon and showed her kindness. in letting her have moments with her and a still sleeping Hope.
It had been a nine months since the sentencing and today was Kai's and Anastasia's wedding. Th community of New Orleans was a buzz of excitement at the upcoming day. At the compound Anastasia was getting ready. She had Davina as her maid of honour and Marcel was walking her down he aisle. Kai didn't really have any friends only people who he tolerated and who tolerated him.
"Are you sure you want to do this. I mean with all that he's done." Davina asked her weary.
"Neither of us had the best past, it's the future that matters." she replied as her hair and make up were being done.
"Besides I can handle him if need be." she added at the end.
Meanwhile Kai was at Marcel's fixing his tie nervously, he kept re doing it over and over again.
"Stop." Marcel told him
"i'm not used to this, I never thought this would happen, you know with me being a sociopathic murderer, trapped in a prison world, dead, prison world again, with a few murderers in between. Marriage wasn't a option."
"Yeah well if I had it my way, she wouldn't be marrying you at all, but you seem to make her happy and she's in love with you. She's rarely had that in life so, I'm putting up with it for her." kai decided to ruin the moment.
"So after today, do I start calling you Dad?"
"Nope." Marcel muttered before leaving to get Ana

Ana breathed nervously as she smoothed out here wedding gown looking in the mirror. Davina stood up after making the final touches.
"You're ready." she beamed. Ana nodded and turned around lifting her dress slightly sh left her room. Everyone turned to look at her and saw the young woman exit and make her way down. Slowly and carefully she came down the steps to the courtyard where Marcel stood in awe.
"You like?" she questioned nervously.
"You look beautiful, Annie." he gave a small kiss and held out his arm which she took.

At the church everyone gathered. Kai rubbed his hands nervously as he waited with Kol standing next to him. Klaus and Freya were seated with sorrowful looks on their face.
"We messed up didn't we." Klaus muttered to his older sister who turned her attention to him "I spent a thousand years trying to fit in, to be accepted and I helped create two people who would, I pushed one down the same road i went and she came back even stronger than myself. She bested all of us and gained the faith and trust in others that they gave her the title of Queen. Now she is to be wedded and I sit already here and not with her." Klaus sighed
