"Still not going to help me?" He asks. I closed my eyes tightly and massage them. "I'm not forcing you to help me."

"You're top in bar exams. You can do it alone." Nginiwian ko siya at saka pinulot ang flash drive na inihagis niya.

"The fuck? You don't have a consideration?" He said irritatedly. "Just help me."

"I'll think about that." Nilingon ko siya na nakakunot ang noong nakatingin sa akin. He rolled his eyes at me and sighs.

"Tss. Pumunta ka ng prisinto. Your prosecutor is talking to your friend right now." Pagtataboy niya sa akin.

"What?" Gulat na tanong ko sa kaniya. "Seryoso ba 'yan?"

"Muka ba 'kong nagbibiro?" Sarkastikong tanong niya.

"Paano mo nalaman?" Nagtatakang tanong ko sa kaniya. Andami naman niyang alam?

He just smirked at me and didn't answer me.

Agad akong lumabas doon at naglakad palabas ng bahay. Noong makalabas ako ng bahay sumakay kaagad ako sa loob ng kotse ko. Inilagay ko muna sa bulsa ko ang flash drive bago binuhay ang makina at nagdrive papunta sa prisinto kung nasaan si Ara.

Nagmamadali akong maglakad pero natigilan din kaagad sa paglalakad dahil nakita ko si Mav na naglalakad at magkakasalubong kami kaya huminto ako.

Matapos niyang kausapin ang kausap niya sa cellphone niya napatingin siya sa akin at agad na napahinto sa paglalakad. Nagpatuloy ako sa paglalakad para makalapit sa kaniya.

"Why are you here?" Tanong ko sa kaniya.

"To visit your friend." She answered. I didn't speak. I just stared at her because I fucking miss her so much. I can't wait to end this case now because after this I swear to God I'll chain her to me.

"Anong pinag-usapan niyo?"

"It's about the past and her case." Sagot niya sa akin. Is she sick? Bakit ang tamlay niya? Hindi yata nagsusungit ngayon?

"Do you think she's guilty?"

"Why are you asking me that?"

I shrug. "I just want to know your thoughts about her."

She sighed. "At first... yes. I think she did kill Lorence. Along with the process, I don't know anymore. Pumapasok sa utak ko yung mga tanong na bakit naman niya papatayin si Lorence, eh naging mabuti naman sa kaniya si Lorence? And I admit it that she's a true friend of Lorence." She sighed again and look at me emotionless. "She seemed like she can't do it, but also it seemed like she can do it. Anyway, let's just wait for the decision of the judge. I have to prosecute her, guilty or not, it's my work to prove she commits the crime."

"You'll prosecute even though there's a possibility that she's innocent?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko sa kaniya.

"You'll fight for her even there's a possibility that she's not innocent?" Balik niya ng tanong sa akin.

"She's innocent, Prosecutor Vergara." Mariing sambit ko sa kaniya.

"Why? Do you know her?" Tanong niya sa akin. "Do you really know her?" Tanong niya ulit. Hindi ako nakasagot dahil alam ko sa sarili ko na hindi ko talaga siya lubos na kilala. "You can't answer me. You don't know her."

"Ganyan ba pagkakakilala mo sa kaniya? You've known her since you senior high. How can you think like that about her?" I said. Frustratedly.
