Upon opening the door he saw his brother standing there with his arm raised, about to knock.

"Landon?"

"Hey, umm, Mom was aking if you're coming down for breakfast. You've been up here a while"

"Yeah, let's go"

Together they made their way down the stairs and to the dining room.

The place was dead silent as everyone simply gazed at their food. Logan who had been so smug earlier, now looked at his waffles with slight worry.

His parents were lost in their own thoughts, though his mother had a smile on her face and Beth was seriously reflecting.

"Eh em" Landon cleared his throat, drawing attention to himself and the man of the hour.

"Oh you're here-"

His father cut his mother off immediately

"What is going on between you two?"

"N-nothing, honestly"

"Nothing, first I hear that you spent the entire time at the wedding throwing yourself at him, now this?"

His eyes widened in astonishment.

"T-throwing myself at him?"

"Yes, isn't that what you people do?"

"You people?"

"That is enough Jon!"

"Is that what you really th-think of me?"

Finally tears had made their way into his eyes, they weren't there out of sadness however, rather he was so mad that his father could really paint such an awful picture of him in his head.

"Riley I'm sure he didn't mean it like that" Landon tried to ease the tension in the room.

"No, I'm sure he did. All gay boys are just whores that prey on innocent straight men is that it?"

"Don't put words in my mouth"

"I don't have to, you're doing just fine on your own"

Then he turned and walked out of the room. Would he ever be able to have a normal breakfast with his entire family?

Belly flopping on his bed, he groaned into the pillow. It was no secret that his father took his coming out the hardest, along with everyone on his side of the family. Which is why none of them particularly liked him. He was surprised to get the invite for his Uncle's wedding; however, he knew it was probably his mother's doing.

He just didn't think he would grow to hate him because of it.

His door opened to reveal a teary eyed Marissa.

"M-mama?"

She walked in with a tray of food and placed it on the bed before sitting down as well.

"I'm sorry about what that big oaf said"

"It's okay, why are you crying?"

"I just-I just get so mad at him"

Riley giggled.

At least now he knew where he got the angry crying.

"It's fine mama"

"No, it's not. He needs to work through his shit otherwise we're leaving this damn house"

He had never seen her this mad, with a sigh he pulled her into a hug. His mother loved their father terribly he was her first everything, if he begged her to stay Riley really doesn't know what she'd do.
