Chapter 11.

"Tell me more about what you're family said"

"I-it's no big deal"

He still couldn't look at him.

After the kiss Riley had opted to sit in the arm chair, hoping it would help to clear his mind.

"Obviously it is, if this is bothering you talk to me about it"

"Th-they just don't know any better. Everyone thinks you're straight because they've never see you with anyone before"

"And that automatically means that I'm into women. That's the dumbest logic I've ever heard Riley"

"Y-yeah, but to them you're too good looking to be gay"

"That's even worse, gay people are ususally gorgeous, we can use you as an example"

Again he blushed furiously, he had barely calmed down from earlier and Nikolai was just making it worse.

"Listen to me, I prefer to keep my relationships out of the lime light because the public only adds drama and my preferred kind of lifestyle would be placed under a lot of... Scrutiny"

"What do you mean?"

"Let's not go into the specifics just yet, but I want you to know that time wasting isn't something I take lightly. You wouldn't be here right now if I didn't want you"

Finally he tilted his head upwards, finding the older's eyes which were still gazing at him intensely.

Riley knew he was being honest, but Rachel was still taunting him.

Warning him.

Threatening him.

And he was scared, was Nikolai really worth the trouble? He had a home in France, away from all of the scheming and drama.

But if he left now, then he'd be doing the same thing he did all those years ago... Running.

"I-I want th-this"

"But?"

"But I'm scared, I don't w-want to get hurt I've never felt like this bef-fore and it's new and frightening"

"What do you mean? This isn't all new I'm sure you've had a boyfriend before"

With his cheeks heating up even more he glances back down at his fingers.

"Wait... Never?"

"I-I'm sorry"

"Don't apologize"

This was better than he thought, Nikolai knew the boy was inexperienced but he never expected he'd be so pure.

So innocent.

In a weird way it made him want the younger even more. He was completely untainted and Nikolai wanted to corrupt him in ways that would ruin him for anyone else.

At the same time he wanted to lock him in a chest and throw away the key to protect him, not just from the world... But from himself.

"Let me change out of this suit and then we'll have lunch and watch a movie, okay?"

"Okay"

"In the meantime..."

He grabbed the remote and turned on the television switching it unto a cartoon with a blue cat and a brown mouse. Riley had never seen it before and was immediately captivated.

Shaking his head in amusement Nikolai placed the remote on the couch and made his way upstairs to get ready for lunch.
