Chapter 52.

"If it isn't my son-in-law and my... I'm still trying to figure out if you're mine"

The deep accented voice startled Riley and he accidentally gripped unto his daddy who had been attached to his side all night.

"Dad, could you approach us normally next time?"

"I thought I did"

They turned to face Ariston who as usual stood tall and proud in a sharp grey suit. His neatly gelled hair made him resemble his son even more.

Next to him was his gorgeous wife clad in a floor length navy blue dress and Nikolai's brother in a dark red suit.

"Hi everyone"
The youngest mumbled stuffing his face into his daddy's chest.

"I'm sorry did you just say you doubt Nikolai is yours. Is that your way of saying you think I cheated on you?"
Amara queried coldly.

"Oh no dear, they may have just switched the babies at the hospital"

"Thought so... Hi baby, how are you?"

She smiled pulling Riley away from her son and engulfing him in a bear hug.

"I'm okay"

"That's good and my son is taking care of you?"

"Absolutely"
Riley giggled, almost melting into the woman's embrace. She smelt amazing and was so warm he honeslty felt like he was hugging his own mother.

"Please don't steal my boyfriend"

"Brother why are you so selfish?"

"How is that selfish? He's mine I have every right to want him by my side every minute of every day"

The younger blushed at Nikolai's possessive words.

"I think I just threw up in my mouth"

"Noah behave"
Amara snapped.

"Sorry mother"

"And wipe that goofy smirk off of your face boy"
Ariston grunted, before playfully smacking Noah on his back though it still seemed to hurt due to the man's bear like physique.

"I got it from you old man"

"Why are you guy's here?"
Nikolai sighed already tired of the chaos, his mother looked at him as though he was silly before responding

"What do you mean, we were invited by the Frost's-"

"I don't mean here as in the party I mean here here, like right in front of me. Shouldn't you be mingling or sonething?"

"How dare you boy? I have every right to see my son-in-law"

"You could have seen him from across the room"

"Well I wanted him to see me as well"

"Dad you are built like a house, had you waved I'm sure the gust of wind would have knocked him square off his feet and he would have had no choice but to notice you"

Riley couldn't hold the laugh that escaped his lips. Had Nikolai always been that... Witty? Rude? Whatever it was, it's hilarious.

Though it seemed only his family could draw out this side of him.

"You are so cute I just want to stuff you in my pocket and take you home with me"

"Mother I don't know if you're aware, but saying that to people is weird"

"Oh shut up Noah"

Riley was so happy that the Cirillo family appeared to take his mind off of everything with the strange man that approached him earlier, Rachel who had not stopped glaring at him, the crowd of people surrounding him and shocking himself with the realization that he was madly in love with Nikolai.
