Chapter 32

"D-daddy"

The sudden whimper caught the older man by surprise and he looked up from his laptop at the young man on the bed.

They had been in the air for a few hours and Riley had been sleeping for the entire time, whilst Nikolai worked on the couch nearby.

After waiting for a few seconds Nikolai didn't hear anything else thus he got back to his task.

"Mm, d-daddy pl-"

This time he placed the device on the couch and got to his feet.

With light steps he made his way to the right side of the bed where Riley had huddled up next to a pillow making small movements that were hard to see unless one was looking carefully.

As the younger man humped the pillow softly Nikolai smirked before running a hand up his thigh.

Surprisingly the younger jolted awake and sat upright in a manner of seconds.

After looking around for a while Riley's eyes finally landed on his daddy and without giving it much thought he raised his arms indicating he wanted to be picked up.

With a light chuckle Nikolai lifted the baby with ease and allowed him to rest on his hip.

"Are you still tired bub?"
He queried as the little placed his head in the crook of the older's neck.

"Mm"
He mumbled with a small nod.

Nikolai searched for his paci before popping it into his mouth, the little began sucking immediately seeking further comfort from the item.

As he began to drift off again Nikolai went to place him back on the bed.

"Nuu"

The older was surprised as the little started sobbing, quickly he took a seat allowing Riley to straddle him the he pulled the younger into a warm hug.

"Shh, it's okay bub I'm here"

He whispered soothing words into the little's ear until he fell asleep once more; however this time he didn't dare to put him down. Thus for the next hour Nikolai worked with a sleeping Riley on his lap.

"Daddy?"
He lisped over the pacifier.

"Hi bub, how did you sleep?"

"I-I slept okay"

"That's good, are you hungry?"

"A little"

With a nod Nikolai quickly ordered some food before returning his attention to his little.

"Baby?"

"Yes daddy?"

"Do you remember waking up earlier?"

He knew Riley was probably just clingy as some baby's were when they were in the state of being half asleep, half awake but he wanted to make sure.

"No I don't, did I do something?"

"It's okay love, I was just wondering"

He furrowed his brows and tileted his head to the side gazing up at his dom whilst sucking on the item between his lips.

Nikolai fought the urge to coo at his baby, instead he just wrapped his arms around him and pulled the younger into another hug.

"You're so adorable"

Riley blushed madly thanking the lord he was buried in Nikolai's chest.

"T-thank you"

The food arrived shortly after and the older fed the little whilst eating at the same time.
