CHAP8-APARTMENT

ZACK'S POV:

I sat up looking around. No one was beside me so I checked the time and it was 10 am. 

Yawning, I stood up and went to the bathroom.

I opened the door peeking at the living room. Bella and Laura were talking and I noticed Noah was in the kitchen making coffee. "Hey girls!" I hugged Bella from the back smiling at Laura. As always she scrunched her face and turned her head not facing my direction. I sat on the couch keeping my legs up.

"Aren't we going to check in our apartment now...Are you sad you won't be able to see the neighbo....," Bella smacked me before I could finish. I glared at her and then realization hit me, Noah was there. She doesn't want her brother to know about this. I smiled at her teasingly.

Her cheeks turned pink. Awww she is blushing!

"We should go now and don't worry it's just 10 minutes away from here," Noah said taking his phone and wallet that was sitting on the coffee table. We nodded and got out of the house.

"Guys, why are you in my truck we have to bring all our cars," I told both of them who were sitting there dumbfounded. 

"WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY THIS EARLIER BUCKET HEAD!" Laura exclaimed. I smirked at her. I did that on purpose.

BELLA'S POV:

I slammed the door and went straight to my car. I started the engine and followed my brother. I was fuming Zack just played with us and it is not the right time. 

As I was driving, Noah took a shortcut just beside our neighborhood. I continued behind him. I whistled softly when I saw the building that I'm going to live. The signboard 'SHEPPARD AVENUE" was there. Woah, it looked huge and modern. This also looked expensive. It was a good thing that my brother will be paying for everything. Once I found the parking spot, I maneuvered my car to the area and turned off the engine.

The guard on the ground floor greeted us, Noah told him something and he let us go. No one other than us entered the elevator on our way up. The elevator opened with a sound on the 5th floor. The hallway of the floor was quiet and I saw a few people walking to their apartment door. Hmm...not that bad. 

Noah stopped at the last apartment in that row. The number was 85. "This is your apartment, Bella!" Noah said opening the door with a card. Why does this feel like a hotel?

I shook off my thoughts and went inside. "WOWWWW!" Zack said in amazement. I'm telling you, it was fully furnished and it was so luxurious. The tiles were marble and even there was a small chandelier light in the living room. It was painted beige and white. The brown couch was all leather and the kitchen had everything even utensils. It was like a bar because there were chairs around the kitchen counter. 

There were three bedrooms, a big bathroom, and a laundry room. The bedrooms were all furnished as well. I immediately chose the bedroom that was painted cream color and white. The bed had a very unique design to it. It was a king-size bed though. I was so happy that Noah chose this apartment.

Zack chose the room that was painted black and grey but the bed was single size. Meanwhile, Laura chose the room that was painted blue and white and the bed was a queen size. Yay, I got the bigger bed!

"Do you like it?" Noah asked me raising his eyebrows. He looked nervous "Yeah...I like this place...Thanks," I said hugging him. I felt him taking a moment to register what is happening but he quickly wrapped his arms around me. "Thanks," I whispered listening to his heartbeat. It's been years since I last hugged him. It felt the same. The same means I felt safe and protected.

Over his shoulder, I saw Laura and Zack smiling at me. I smiled back at them and started pull away. I kissed his cheek and his face was priceless. Quickly regaining his senses he grinned at me "I'm so relieved that you liked this place...this cost two thousand dollars every month." 

I'm pretty sure my jaw was on the floor. That was a lot of money and I didn't know how much he paid for the advance. He chuckled at me " I have to go now Hunter's waiting for me," and winked.

"It's been so long since I last saw you two like this," Laura said giving me a hug while Zack was getting comfortable on the couch. I smiled at Laura and cocked my head to Zack's side. "Boy, we have to keep our clothes in the dresser," I said on my way to bring my luggage to my room.

"Man, I'm not ready for the classes tomorrow!" Zack said in an annoyed tone. We were laying on the floor staring at the ceiling. Zack was laying his head on my stomach while I laid my head on Laura's lap.

"I'm not ready too," I sighed closing my eyes in delight as Laura was playing with my hair. It felt good. 

"Let's see what our senior year has for us," Laura said munching a cookie.

I can't wait to see what will happen.
