CHAPTER 35- BETRAYAL

BELLA'S POV:

"Are you sure you will be fine without us Bels?" Zack questioned with a hint of concern on his face. Sighing, I nodded my head trying not to notice the stabbing pain in my heart. I had a panic attack yesterday. Not one but many. I cannot be selfish now plus I need some space for myself. It's perfect since Noah and Hunter won't be around for two months. Now Laura and Zack are returning to Edmonton to intern while staying with their families.

Laura hugged me while asking "You sure?" and gave me a weak smile. Zack and Laura did not expect Rose to do that though Zack said he was suspicious of Emma when he saw her walk out of Rose's house last night. He said Emma gave off bad vibes even from far away.

"Come on guys, I will be fine. I just need some time alone to digest things that happened," I reassured them as I hugged them tightly. "Call us whenever okay? We will be here in a heartbeat," they said in unison while hopping into the truck. Waving at them, I flashed my fakest smile possible or else they would insist on staying with me. I don't want to be selfish. A nap would do wonders right now. After that, I will apply for some internship programs. There's one in York University too. It's pretty decent since I have to manage the online sites and platforms of the university along with other data handlings and management. I will think about it later.

I stared at the truck as it sped away and disappeared from sight. I stepped inside the house without looking around because I don't want too see any faces right now. So, I took a nap after going through the messages and missed calls from Rose. More like cried myself to sleep.

I woke up gasping for air, the thunders woke me up. My heart was beating wildly because I've been scared of lightning and thunders since I was a kid. Squinting my eyes at the wall clock, I noticed it was already 8pm. Rubbing the sleep off my eyes harshly I stood up from the sofa. I grunted while massaging my neck. I fell asleep on the sofa in a weird position. I walked my way to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water. Chugging it down while sighing in relief from the cold water wetting my dry throat. I sat on the chair near the kitchen counter practically facing the window that gives me a perfect view of Rose's living room window.

I don't know if it's my bad luck or I am dumb enough to sit there because I saw Rose sitting on her couch while staring at my house well more like staring right through the window of my kitchen. Her face lit up once she saw me but I lowered my head and pulled out my phone to play with it.

Suddenly, my phone started to ring the screen displaying 'Rose'. I looked at the window and saw her looking at me with pleading eyes. I could see her face clearly since it's not raining heavily. Just a lot of thunders and lighting with light rain. Feeling the annoyance consuming me, I answered her phone.

"WHAT?" I yelled annoyingly making sure my face showed how I felt. Rose's face looked sad but she deserves it for fucking that bitch. "Can we talk please? I'm sorry please. I want to explain....," Rose said but I cut her off by saying "I hope f*cking felt better than f*cking me. Thanks for what you did and NO I don't want to listen to whatever explanation. Leave me alone. There is no us. Forget about me...forget about us." I felt tears streaming down my face again so I ended the call immediately. I quickly walked upstairs and went into my room.

This is too painful. I wish Nana was here with me.............
