CHAP9-FIRST DAY

BELLA'S POV:

"Is it done yet?" I shoved the pancakes in my mouth. "Almost...," Laura flipped the pancake. Zack drizzled some maple syrup on his pancakes. Today is our first class and we woke up early. Laura made us some pancakes for breakfast because we actually ordered groceries online.

I wore a sweatshirt and jeans because I'm not trying to look cute I just want to be comfortable. Zack and Laura wore a pretty decent attire too. Since it's the first day we decided to walk. The university is 5 minutes away from our apartment. 

"Our first class of the day is advanced programming and the following class will be statistics," Zack said as we crossed the road. We chose advanced programming as our extra class. The walk was nice. The morning cool air was blowing lightly giving us a chilly feel. As we were walking I saw our university. It was crowded. The first thing I saw was two students were sucking their faces off. Man, it 9 am! Ugh!

I felt all the eyes on me. I didn't really like the attention. But Zack pulled us towards the study hall. The hall was empty except for this one student. She had ginger hair and she was shorter. She had freckles all over her face and had pale skin. She smiled at us adjusting her glasses.

We smiled back and sat beside her. "Hey, good morning...We are new here..my name is Laura...this is Bella and this is Zack," Laura shook her hands. "Hello, I'm Penny...Pennywise...nice to meet you guys!" she said in a small voice. Laura and Zack were having a conversation with her but I was bored so I looked around the study hall. 

It was big and fully air-conditioned. This place can fit 100 students at a time and we were sitting in the second row. This was pretty close but it is okay since I can pay attention without getting distracted. I whistled softly leaning in my chair more. 

Just then Penny's voice caught my attention. "Our lecturer is female with male genitals...Ummm which means she is intersex. I'm totally fine with that but the whole university kinda hates her for that. I mean it's just dumb...all the students make fun of her. She's hot and young so a lot of people sexualize her too. I have to admit that she is one of the best lecturers here." Penny said playing with her pen looking intently at us. 

We just looked at each other's faces. "We're totally okay with that...and we also knew about intersex and we also support LGBTq+" I finished shrugging at her. 

Her face was priceless practically opening and closing her mouth like a fish. "Woah, that is so cool. I thought you guys will be disgusted by it. I'm glad you guys are supportive," she said putting a hand on her chest.

"I can't hate my own kind," I said putting my hands up in a defensive manner. It took a moment for her to register what I said but when she did " OH MY GOD, YOU LIKE GIRLS OR SOMETHING?" she asked me with widening eyes. I laughed and nodded. She was squealing. I've never met someone this friendly.

The bell rang, all the students crowded in. I was sitting in between Penny and Laura and Zack was sitting in between Laura and with some dude. I don't know his name.

I checked the time and it was 10 am. I was at looking the door for the lecturer to enter. I was really curious to see who it was. I sighed and buried my face in my palms.

All of the sudden, I heard the door open and I glanced up.

My heart dropped to my ass and my jaw was hanging low in shock.
