CHAP10-LECTURER

BELLA'S POV:

I swung my head in my friend's direction. Both of their mouths hung agape. So it's not a hallucination.

I gulped turning my head to the front looking at the neighbor. She was the lecturer Penny told us about.

"Bella, it's your lover girl," Zack whispered looking at her. I shushed him signaling it's not the right time to talk about that. 

"Good morning everyone." she sat on the desk her eyes roamed the entire study hall. Just then her eyes stopped when she saw me. Her facial expressions were unreadable. Almost like she was surprised, shocked, upset all in one.

Her gaze was burning holes on me. I shifted in my seat uncomfortably. Just then she stiffened and cleared her throat.

"Looks like we have new students here," she came towards us forcing a smile. Why is she smiling like that? 

I nodded my head avoiding her gaze. "Introduce yourself to the class," she said crossing her arms. Laura nudged my shoulder. Standing up, "Hello, my name is Bella. I'm 23 and I'm from Edmonton," I said finally having some courage to meet her gaze. When our eyes met her whole face lit up. Man, why does she have to be so beautiful!

Laura and Zack continued to introduce themselves. But she was still holding my gaze. The eye contact made our surrounding very tensed. I feel millions of butterflies igniting inside me. I'm very sure my whole face was as red as a tomato. Fidgetting my fingers nervously I finally lowered my head cutting off the eye contact. 

Stepping back, "I'm Miss. Matthews, Nice to meet you guys," she said now standing behind her desk. We nodded and sat back.

"How about you tell more about yourself?...Miss. FREAK," a boy said smirking from the back of the class in a mocking tone. The whole class burst out laughing except Penny, Laura, Zack, and Me. We stayed quiet not knowing how to react. 

Her smiled dropped and she looked very uncomfortable but she chose not to say or do anything. What in the actual f*ck was that! My blood was boiling when she let that disrespectful boy without punishing him!

"Silence!... We are going to start by learning about Java Script today," she said in a calm tone setting up the projector. I felt so bad for her because she looked very embarrassed.

The class started as soon as we saw the PowerPoint presentation on the projector screen. 

I have to admit that she is a great lecturer. She was calm, creative, prepared, and organized. Her explanation was clear and understandable. But the problem is she hasn't even glanced at me once after what happened. I don't know why I was very upset because of that but kind of happy at the same time because I get to stare at her without getting caught. Come on Bella, she is your lecturer stop it!

When she asked us to copy the notes, "This always happens. The boy's name is Jeremy Hilton and he is a rude guy. He thinks he is the best," Penny leaned near and whispered in my ears. "Why did she let that pass like that?" I questioned clenching my fist. "She is nice and kind-hearted. Maybe she is forgiving too," Penny replied shrugging. Sighing, I returned to jot down my notes. It was pretty simple. She was teaching about the applications of Java Script.

I glanced at the wall clock and 15 minutes more until the end of the class. She let us do our own work since it's the first day. Suddenly, an idea popped into my mind. I took a paper note and started to write. 

After 10 minutes satisfied with my work, I gathered all my things and put them inside my bag. Tapping my foot nervously waiting for the class to end. 

The bell rang, "Okay the time is up, you guys can leave now...Have a nice day," she smiled walking towards the door and opening it. I slung my bag on my shoulder and proceeded my way out. As I was getting closer and closer to her my heartbeat quickened. I took a deep breath mentally telling myself not to be nervous.

She turned her head in my direction and smiled still leaning on the door saying goodbye to the students. "Ummmm.....err..Miss. Matthews, I want you to read this after I left. Have an amazing day. See you soon!" I beamed handing her the note. She was a bit taken back but quickly nodded and greeted me back. I walk past her without turning around because Princess and Buckethead were standing behind me the watching the whole thing happened. I don't want them to tease me infront of her.

Hopefully, she likes it even though it wasn't much.
