Seventy Three

The next morning Cheryl woke up first, thankfully her alarm didn't wake up Toni, it was her birthday and the redhead wanted to get things arranged before she awoke. Cheryl crept out of the bedroom, carefully shutting the door behind her, if everything was delivered on time it would all be here in the next half an hour and she didn't have a lot of time to prepare everything. Toni's main gift was back home in Riverdale, when they decided on taking a trip to Florida Cheryl arranged to get some small gifts delivered to Veronica's villa. The redhead cleaned up the pizza boxes from the night before and waited impatiently for a knock at the door. Soon enough though Cheryl saw the delivery people arrive and opened the door before they could knock, she hoped that way Toni wouldn't be woken up. She greeted the men and stepped to the side so they could bring everything inside. A couple of trips later and the delivery men had finished bringing everything in, Cheryl tipped them before closing the door and taking a breath, she had quite a bit of work to do. The redhead started off with the already filled balloons, she placed them around the lounge and kitchen area before starting with the banners. Cheryl had never done anything like this before so she was excited too but also nervous because what if Toni didn't like it. Now it was time to organise Toni's gifts, she placed the giant box of one hundred roses shaped in a heart in the middle of the kitchen island. The cake behind it, which wasn't too extravagant, it was pretty small and round but it had the photo of the three of them printed onto the icing so Cheryl was sure Toni would love that. She placed the rest of the gifts onto the island which included Toni's favourite perfume, some new boots, a photo book that she had made online of all the memories they had shared and a pair of gold earrings. Cheryl had also let Tommy order his mom some gifts, he chose a teddy bear and a gold necklace that said mommy. When the redhead was satisfied she ordered breakfast for everyone to be delivered, all she needed to do now was write on Toni's birthday card, she opened it up and thought about what to write before putting pen to paper.

My beloved Toni,

How lucky I am to be sharing such a special day with you, never did I ever think in my wildest dreams that I would be blessed with someone as amazing as you. You've brought so much joy into my life and I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for me. You make my life so much better and I can't imagine not having you by my side. I hope you have an amazing day and you get everything you dream of.

She decided that short and sweet was the best way to fill in the card, she could write paragraphs, a book even about how much she loved Toni and what she meant to her but she was running out of time. She headed upstairs to wake everyone else up knocking on their doors and making sure they were awake. Next she quietly entered Tommy's bedroom and sat in his bed before running her hand through his hair. 'Time to wake up sweetheart, it's Mommy's birthday, should we go and wake her up' Cheryl said quietly as the little boy opened his eyes. As her words sunk in he eagerly nodded his head before sitting up and reaching into his nightstand and pulling out the card he wrote on the previous night. 'Okay Mama, let's go' he smiled while he slid out of bed and held out his hand for her to take. They walked quietly into the bedroom before Tommy ran and jumped on the bed, Cheryl sitting down where she was asleep earlier this morning. 'Happy Birthday Mommy' Tommy squealed as he continued to bounce. Toni quickly grabbed him and pulled him towards her causing him to giggle. She placed a small kiss on his head before she heard the redhead wish her a happy birthday as well. Toni smiled and pulled Cheryl towards herself and Tommy, engulfing them in a huge hug. Cheryl heard a loud knock on the door downstairs meaning that their food had arrived. 'Breakfast is here' Cheryl mumbled as she pulled away placing a sweet kiss on Toni's lips. 'Breakfast? Sounds great' Toni smiled as she sat up and practically jumped out of bed. She picked Tommy up from the bed as he still held her birthday card tightly in his hand. 'Come on babe' Toni smiled holding out her hand for Cheryl to take.

When the small family got downstairs Veronica, Archie, Sweet Pea and Fangs were already waiting for her downstairs. 'Happy Birthday!' the group yelled in unison all coming toward Toni bringing her into a hug. 'Guys what's all this?' Toni said looking around at the balloons and banners. 'That was all your girl T' Sweet Pea smiled. Toni turned to look at Cheryl 'thank you baby, I love it'. Toni placed a long kiss on Cheryl's lips wrapping her arms around her neck before pulling away. 'You're welcome TT' Cheryl smiled. 'Shall we eat first? And then gifts before we have to get ready for Disney?' Fangs asked. 'Sounds good to me' Toni smiled taking Cheryl's hand and leading her to the couch along with everyone else. They ate as they chatted, excitement about the day ahead was the topic of conversation and Tommy could barely wait as he shovelled food into his mouth at a record speed. 'Thomas slow down before you choke' Toni said raising an eyebrow, the little boy froze like a deer caught in headlights before giving her a cheeky smile 'sorry Mommy'. 'So thanks to Cheryl we all have vip passes to the park, which means no waiting in lines' Veronica smiled. 'No way!' Fangs said excitedly before masking it 'Tommy will love that'. The rest of the group chuckled as Fangs blushed a little. 'Thank you Mama' Tommy smiled.

'Okay Mommy open your gifts' Tommy jumped up and down after they had finished eating. 'Okay baby' Toni smiled. 'Mine first!' Tommy ran to the kitchen area followed by Cheryl. The redhead passed Tommy the gifts that he had chosen for Toni and picked up her own bag of gifts with the birthday card. The rest of the group shuffled around to pick up their gifts that they had hidden behind the couch. This was the first birthday Toni had looked forward to in a long time and she was so happy to share it with people that she loved. Once everyone was sat back in their seats Tommy handed his mom her gifts and her card. She opened the card first and her eyes welled with tears at the little boys words. 'Open your gifts' he said eagerly. Toni chuckle a little at Tommy's excitement as she unwrapped one of the two gifts. The first one was the teddy bear, Toni studied it with a smile 'thank you Tommy, it's lovely'. She held the teddy close as she unwrapped the second gift and opened the box. 'It says Mommy see' Tommy grinned as he wrapped his arms around her neck. 'I love it baby' Toni said wrapping her arms around her little boy. 'Let me put it on you' he grinned as he pulled away. Toni gently pulled the necklace out of the box and passed it to Tommy before moving her hair out of the way. Tommy tried a couple of times to clip it before finally hooking it together. 'There you go Mommy' Tommy grinned. 'Thank you' she pulled him into a hug before placing kisses all over his face causing him to giggle. 'Okay here's mine' Sweet Pea said passing over the messily wrapped gift. Toni smiled at her brother as she unwrapped the gift pulling out a brand new leather jacket, Toni could tell it was expensive and it reminded her of the one they all used to have as teenagers. 'I love it Sweet, thank you' Toni stood up and brought her brother into a hug. 'Okay T, my turn' Fangs said handing Toni his gift, this one wrapped much neater than Sweet Peas. Toni smiled as she sat down as she unwrapped yet another gift, this one was a camera. 'I thought you could get back into photography' Fangs gave her a small smile. 'Wow, thank you so much Fangs, I love it' she stood up again pulling her brother into a hug. 'This is from Archie and I Toni' Veronica passed her a envelope. Toni opened it up as she sat down again 'what's this?'. 'It's a weekend break for you and Cheryl' Veronica clasped her hands together 'Archie and I would like to over our babysitting services for Tommy'. 'Wow I...' Toni said looking at Cheryl and then back at Veronica 'thank you, both of you'. Archie and Veronica stood up and walked over to Toni bringing her in for a hug. 'Happy birthday T' Veronica said again as she pulled away. 'Looks like it's me' Cheryl laughed nervously 'happy birthday babe'. The redhead handed Toni her card and gifts as Toni sat down next to her. Toni unwrapped each gift, thanking the redhead each time she opened one. She slid the earrings in with a smile before kissing Cheryl, she loved all of her gifts but the photo book and the words the redhead had written in the card meant the most to her. As she finished looking through the book and reading her card she wiped away her tears and pulled Cheryl in for a sweet kiss. 'I love you' Toni said as she leaned against Cheryl's forehead. 'I love you' Cheryl smiled back. 'Okay, who's ready for Disney world!' Sweet Pea yelled causing Tommy to squeal. 'I guess we should get ready' Toni smiled as she stood up pulling the redhead up with her.
