Twenty Six

Toni didn't see much of Cheryl through the week as she was trying to help her brothers find an apartment with no luck. They had of course video called and talked over messages but Toni was really starting to miss the redhead. Fangs had took the couch and she had let Sweet Pea sleep in Tommy's room as she had the little boy in her bed. It was cramped but she loved having them back in her life and so did her son. Cheryl had done what she had said and got them both jobs at the maple factory so they at least had a decent income and they could help Toni with the bills. It was Friday evening and Tommy was watching tv with Fangs when Sweet Pea knocked on Toni's bedroom door. When he heard her answer he walked in the room and joined her on the bed. 'What you up to T?' he asked. 'I was just messaging Cheryl, is everything alright?'. 'Yeah of course, you haven't really seen much of her since we've been here huh?'. 'That's okay Sweet she gets it'. 'I know but I don't want us to interrupt your life to the point you haven't even got time for your girl, so I was thinking?'. 'Thinking what?' Toni asked raising an eyebrow. 'That Fangs, Tommy and I could have a boys weekend here while you go to Cheryl's and spend some time together'. 'I don't know Sweet I haven't left him over night since we moved away'. 'I know T and I get that it's hard but we are here now and we want to help, he hasn't had a sleepover with his uncles in a long time, we'll have fun'. 'I don't know I should be here with him, I'm his mother'. 'And you're a great mom Toni, you shouldn't feel guilty for letting him stay at home with his uncles for a couple of nights'. he smiled.

She huffed as she thought about her brothers offer. 'Okay I'll speak to Tommy and if he's happy I'll speak to Cheryl she may already have plans' Toni looked at Sweet Pea. 'No need, we've already asked Tommy and he's really excited for a weekend with me and Fangs. As for Cheryl I'm sure she'll rearrange any plans she may have' he said squeezing her should as he stood up 'ask her if she's free tonight, go and enjoy yourself. Oh and take my bike if you'd like?'. 'Thanks Sweet I'll call her now' she smiled. She watched her brother walk out before picking up her phone and calling her girlfriend. It only rang once before the redhead answered.

'Hey Toni, how was your day?'.

'Hey Cher it was good, yours?'.

'Just the usual, I'm missing your pretty face though'.

'I miss you too, actually that's why I'm calling'.

'Oh?'.

'Are you free this weekend?'.

'I'm free tonight and tomorrow I arranged to go to the club with Veronica and Archie, I assumed I wouldn't be seeing you and Tommy this weekend you know, because you've been busy'.

'Oh of course I understand, it is last minute'.

'Did you want to see me this weekend?'.

'Well my brothers asked to have a boys weekend at home with Tommy, they told me to see if you was free so we could spend the weekend together but it's fine, you have plans babe'.

'Well you're are welcome to join, I'd love to see you. We could spend the night together here and go out tomorrow night with Ronnie and Archie it'll be fun'.

'Okay I'll be at your place in around a hour?'

'Can't wait. Oh and Toni tell Tommy I miss him'.

'I will, I'll see you soon Cher'.

'See you soon babe'.

Toni left her room smiling at the boys laughing at a movie they were watching. 'Tommy?' she called causing the boy to turn around 'are you okay spending the weekend with Uncle Pea and Uncle Fangs?'. 'Yep we are having a boys only weekend, no girls allowed' he smiled cheekily. 'Well Mommy's going to get her things ready and head to Cheryl's is that okay?' Toni asked still concerned about leaving her son. 'Okay Mommy' he smiled turning back to face the tv. It made it a little easier to know he was more than happy with staying at home without her. She turned back into her room to pack a few things, it felt a little weird that she would be having a child free weekend but she pushed it to the back of her mind. 'Okay boys, if you need anything call me straight away okay' she said as she kissed her sons head 'and don't let him stay up too late' she looked at her brothers. 'Be good all of you, I'll see you Sunday, Love yas' she said moving to the door. 'Love ya T!' her brothers yelled. 'I love you Mommy' Tommy smiled. 'I love you baby, I'll see you soon' and with that she was closing the door behind her. She headed to the Sweet Peas motorcycle in the parking lot still feeling guilty at leaving her son but she knew he was in safe hands. She jumped on the bike, put on her helmet and started the engine, she was excited to spend time with the redhead though, as she made her way to Cheryl's she wondered if her girlfriend was feeling the same way.

She buzzed the gate as she arrived at her destination the gates opening immediately. When she hopped off the bike she saw Cheryl stood at the door looking extremely cute with a wide smile on her bare face and her silky red pyjamas on. 'You look adorable' Toni smiled as she wrapped her arms around Cheryl. 'Stop, I wasn't expecting company tonight so I changed into my nightwear early' the redhead blushed as she kissed the smaller woman. 'Sweet Pea let you use his bike?' Cheryl asked noticing it on the driveway. 'Yeah, maybe I can take you for a ride sometime?' Toni smiled. 'No way' Cheryl laughed. 'Well let me know if you change your mind, I'd love to take you for a spin' Toni winked. 'You're crazy' Cheryl laughed 'come on, let's get inside'. Cheryl told Toni she was welcome to take a bath and change into her nightwear so they could relax in front of the tv together for the night and she did. The redhead stayed downstairs while Toni went to her room and took a bubble bath before changing into her oversized t-shirt and shorts. Toni smiled as she walked into the lounge, she loved seeing the redhead just doing everyday things like watching tv or lounging around without makeup, it always made Toni's heart skip a beat. When the redhead felt eyes on her she looked up 'everything okay?'. 'Everything is great, I was just admiring the view'. Cheryl smiled ignoring the way Toni could always make her blush 'well I've order pizza and grabbed a bottle of wine, is that okay?'. 'Sounds amazing' Toni smiled as she moved to join her girl on the couch.

The pizza had just arrived and the couple were sat at each end of the couch their legs intertwined as they ate the large pizza and sipped on their cherry wine, a movie was playing in the background but their eyes were on each other as they chatted. 'So how's everything been at home now your brothers are staying with you?' Cheryl asked as she took a bite of the pizza in her hand. 'It's been great to have them back, I've been helping them apartment search but we've had no luck with anything yet' Toni answered. 'I'm sure something will come up soon. What are your sleeping arrangements, your apartment is pretty small for four people?'. 'It's pretty cramped but we are managing it. Fangs is on the couch and Sweet is in Tommy's room. I've been sharing my bed with Tommy so it's not too bad'. 'Well why don't you and Tommy spend some nights here to give you all a little space?' Cheryl offered. 'Really? I wouldn't want us to get under your feet'. 'TT don't be silly, I love having you guys here, I have plenty of space but no pressure'. 'I'd love that Cher, I've felt awful not being able to see you this week' Toni frowned. 'Well then it's settled. How about Wednesdays and every other weekend? That way we'll know we will at least see each other a little and if you want to stay any other time you are welcome to. Tommy can use one of the spare rooms as his own and I guess I don't mind sharing my bed with you' Cheryl smirked earning her a little nudge from Toni's foot.

'This is nice' Toni said while Cheryl crawled in bed next to her. 'It is' the redhead said as she laid her head on Toni's chest looking at the tv on the far wall. 'I do miss Tommy though'. 'Me too TT but I'm sure he'd having fun with his uncles and they would have called if there was any issues' the redhead said wrapping her arm around Toni's middle. Toni kissed Cheryl's head as she drew lazy patterns on the redheads arm. 'So do I need to prepare myself for tomorrow?' Toni asked. 'What do you mean? Cheryl said tilting her head up to look at Toni's face. 'I can imagine you and Veronica are party girls' Toni laughed. 'Oh you have no idea' the redhead smiled cheekily. 'Do I need to worry about us running into Madison again?' Toni rolled her eyes when she thought about the scene the stranger caused in the restaurant. 'I'm not saying she won't be at the club but we'll be in the VIP so she won't be able to disturb us even if she wanted to' Cheryl shrugged. 'VIP huh?' Toni laughed. 'Of course Toni' Cheryl smiled at hearing her girlfriend laugh. 'We definitely come from different worlds. One good thing about me being small is that before I was pregnant I could squeeze my way to the bar'. 'Well Toni you don't need to do that anymore we'll have a private bar'. 'Fancy'. 'Are you mocking me?' the redhead asked as she playfully frowned. 'Never baby' Toni winked.
