Seventy Nine

'So what's the plan?' Veronica asked as she sat on the redheads couch. Cheryl handed her best friend a mug of hot tea before sitting down beside her. 'Well the plan was for me and you to go dress shopping a couple of days ago but as you know my sweet Tommy wants to come with us so he can help me pick a dress' Cheryl smiled widely. 'He's got you wrapped around his little finger' Veronica nudged the redheads shoulder 'but I thought you and Toni were suppose to be choosing your flowers today?'. 'We rearranged the days so we went yesterday while Tommy was at school'. 'Wow, it's all happening so fast, soon enough you're going to be a wife' Veronica grinned. 'I know, it's hard to believe how much my life has changed for the better, can I talk to you about something?' Cheryl asked. 'Of course, you can talk to me about anything, what is it?' Veronica asked, a feeling in her stomach telling her this conversation might be serious. 'Can you keep it to yourself?' Cheryl looked into Veronica's eyes. 'I promise, what is it Cheryl, you're kinda freaking me out'. Cheryl took a breath 'after we're married Toni and I have spoken about having another child'. 'Well that's great Cheryl, I'll be an auntie again' Veronica smiled brightly 'but wait, do you not want to go through with it because I'm sure Toni would understand'. 'No I do but what if I can't... you know get pregnant' Cheryl looked at her hands in her lap 'I don't want to let Toni down'. 'Hey...' Veronica said reaching out and taking one of the redheads hands 'I'm sure everything will work out just fine but if not there's plenty of other options. If you're worried you should talk to Toni'. 'We already have so much to do with the wedding, I don't want to put more stress on her' Cheryl said quietly. 'Cheryl, Toni will want to know how you feel but if you want to keep it between us that's fine too. What are best friends for' Veronica smiled. 'Thank you V... for everything, I wouldn't be where I am without you'. 'Come here you big softie' Veronica said pulling Cheryl into a tight hug 'it's okay to be nervous about things but don't worry okay? Everything will be fine'.

'Why are we picking our suits first? Isn't your dress more important?' Fangs asked as he watched Toni look through tuxedos in the store. 'We'll look for a dress for me once the two of you and Tommy have what you need' Toni said turning to the boys 'so what do you think of this one?'. 'I love it T' Sweet Pea smiled. 'I like it too Mommy and there's no leather' Tommy clapped his hands together. 'Fangs?'. 'It's perfect sis' Fangs grinned 'I can't believe our sister is getting married'. 'I can't believe it either' Toni smiled. 'Not long now' Sweet Pea grinned. 'I know, so come on, get these tried on' Toni laughed. Toni waited patiently as her brothers and her son went behind the curtains to change. When they came out in matching black tuxedos with a red bow Toni couldn't help it as tears built up in her eyes. 'Don't you like it Mommy?' Tommy frowned. 'No, I love it baby. You all looked great' Toni smiled as she wiped away her tears. Seeing the most important men in her life stood in front of her wearing attire for her wedding made her more emotional than she thought it would. 'Come here' Sweet Pea said pulling her into a hug, Fangs and Tommy bringing her in as well. 'We love you T' Sweet Pea said as he held her against his chest. 'I love you all too' Toni said as she pulled away not wanting to cry all over their tuxedos. 'Okay Mommy it's your turn' Tommy grinned. 'The kids right let's find your dress' Fangs said as he wiped away her tears.

Sweet Pea, Fangs and Tommy sat in the dress shop as they watched Toni look through the dresses. 'How am I suppose to choose one, they're all so beautiful' Toni said as she ran her fingers over some of the dresses. 'Most of our brides choose the ones they like the most, once they try it on they usually know' the shop owner smiled. Toni looked through them all, it took her just over an hour but she had chosen three to try on. Toni went into the back room while the boys waited patiently outside. When they heard the door open they watched as Toni stepped out. The dress was sleek and fitted every curve. 'You look beautiful Toni' Fangs said. 'He's right T, you look great' Sweet Pea smiled. 'I don't think this is the one' Toni said as she looked at herself in the mirror. 'That's okay, if it doesn't feel perfect then it's not the right dress' the shop owner smiled as she guided Toni back into the dressing room. The boys were chatting as they waited for Toni quietening down when they heard the door open again. They gasped as Toni stepped out all of them speechless. 'What do you guys think?' Toni smiled, the dress was like a ball gown, completely white that made her cleavage and waist look amazing before it widened out and flowed to the ground. 'Mommy you look beautiful, just like a princess' Tommy smiled. Toni couldn't help the tears building up again. Sweet Pea and Fangs stood up in awe at their baby sister. 'You look amazing Toni' Sweet Pea grinned as tears formed in his own eyes 'Cheryl's a lucky girl'. 'He's right T, you look beautiful' Fangs smiled. 'I think this is the one' Toni smiled brightly as the tears rolled down her cheeks. 'Spin around Mommy'. Toni did as her son asked, she felt amazing, this dress was perfect.

Cheryl and Veronica met Toni and the boys at Pops for lunch before they headed dress shopping for the redhead. 'Hey' Cheryl smiled at Toni as she squeezed into the booth next to her. 'Hey' Toni said as she kissed Cheryl's lips. 'How did it go?' Cheryl asked curiously. 'Hey no sneak peaks or hints' Sweet Pea laughed 'just know we all look amazing'. 'I'm sure you do' Cheryl said but her eyes were only on Toni. 'I can't wait to see you in your dress' Cheryl said quietly into her ear. 'Cheryl we can hear you' Veronica smiled at her from across the table. 'Are we going to choose your dress now Mama?' Tommy asked. 'Soon darling, you need to eat first' Cheryl gave him a small smile. 'Okay' he nodded happily. Conversation took over the table, Cheryl sat back appreciating the people around her when she felt a hand wrap around hers before turning her head to see Toni smiling at her.

'This is a different store' Tommy said as he walked into a different wedding dress shop with Cheryl and Veronica. 'Shh Tommy don't give Mama any hints about your Mommy's dress, it has to be a surprise okay?' Veronica said as she ruffled his hair. 'Okay' he nodded seriously. 'So what colour dress have you chosen for me?' Veronica asked. 'Red' Cheryl smiled. 'Why am I not surprised' Veronica grinned. The store assistant came over and Cheryl explained the kind of dress she was looking for for her best friend. 'This is our red selection' the store assistant said politely. 'Thank you' Cheryl nodded. Cheryl and Veronica looked through the dresses while Tommy sat on the chair, he was being very well behaved and the redhead was proud of him. 'Oooh I love this one' Veronica said pulling the dress off of the rail. 'It's gorgeous V, try it on'. Cheryl sat with Tommy while they waited for Veronica to come out in the dress. 'Oh I love it' Cheryl placed her hand on her cheek before standing up to get a closer look at the dress. 'I love it too' Veronica smiled, the dress came just above her knees, it had thin straps going over her shoulders and it was of course red. 'Now once I get out of this...' Veronica said 'it's time to find you the perfect wedding dress'. Tommys ears perked up at that, he was excited to help his Mom.

Cheryl looked through the wedding dresses having no idea what she was looking for. She never imagined she'd get married so it was never something she thought about. 'Do you know what style you're looking for?' The store assistant asked as she tried to help. 'I don't' Cheryl said, she was starting to get overwhelmed. 'Hey listen...' Veronica said noticing Cheryl was starting to panic 'there's plenty of other dress stores don't worry if there isn't one you like here'. Cheryl took a breath nodding as she looked at her best friend. As if by magic a dress caught Cheryl's eye, almost pulling her towards it. 'Cheryl?' Veronica frowned as she watched the redhead move away from her. Cheryl picked up the dress and looked at the shop assistant 'could I try this one on please?'. 'Of course' the shop assistant smiled taking the dress from Cheryl and leading her to the dressing room.

Veronica and Tommy waited patiently, the raven haired woman beginning to worry that the redhead didn't like the dress since it was taking her so long to change. 'Oh my god!' Veronica's jaw dropped as she looked at her best friend who had just stepped out in front of her 'girl you look gorgeous'. 'I think this is the one... no I know it is' Cheryl smiled as her bottom lip began to tremble causing tears to fill Veronica's eyes too. 'Toni's going to lose her shit when she sees you' Veronica sniffed away her tears. 'Hey language!' Tommy scolded 'Mama you look beautiful, Mommy is going to be so happy to see you'. 'Thank you baby' Cheryl smiled brightly. 'Give us a spin' Veronica encouraged and Cheryl did, the smile on her face only growing. The redheads dress was a little different to Toni's it hugged her upper body perfectly flowing out when it reached her hips until it pooled at her feet. 'I'm getting married' Cheryl squealed happily looking at her best friend before looking at herself in the mirror. 'I'm getting married' she said again more quietly as the nerves set in.
