After a relaxing Sunday, Monday morning rolled around and Toni was currently in a debate with a five year old about why he had to go to school and that he couldn't stay home with Cheryl. She had managed to get him dressed but he made a run for the redhead jumping on her bed and wrapping his arms tightly around her as he begged her to let him stay with her. It was hard for them all, Toni understood that after everything Tommy didn't want to leave the redhead, she didn't either but they had to get back to a normal routine for his sake. 'Tommy come on, we're gonna be late' Toni huffed as she stood at the door. 'No! I'm staying here with my Mama!' he squealed causing Cheryl to lift her eyes to Toni as she rubbed the little boys back. 'Tommy listen' Cheryl whispered 'you need to look at me'. Tommy reluctantly lifted his head to look at the redhead with tear filled eyes. Cheryl took a deep breath before speaking 'I will be fine baby, I will still be here waiting for you when you get home from school and I can't wait for you to tell me about your day. We can spend lots of time together when you get home but for now you have to go to school okay?' she didn't lose eye contact with him for a second. 'Okay' he whispered. 'Good boy, now give me a hug before you go' she gave him a small smile. He gave her a hug before sliding off the bed and heading to Toni. 'I love you Tommy, have a great day' the redhead smiled at him. 'I love you too' he waved before leaving the room. 'Thank you babe, I'll be home after the hospital. I love you' Toni moved to the bed kissing the redheads lips 'call me if you need anything'.

Cheryl had told Toni she was welcome to take her car, an offer she accepted since it was easier than constantly using a Uber. Toni strapped Tommy into his seat, he was actively trying to give her his best silent treatment with his arms folded across his chest. She didn't pay him much mind though she always tried to allow him to express his feelings in his way as long as he wasn't hurtful or rude. She adjusted the drivers seat to suit her before using her phone to open the gate and drive Tommy to school and then herself to the hospital, she was worried about leaving Cheryl alone but the redhead assured her she would be fine. While Toni and Tommy were waiting outside his class she decided to test the water with her son. 'Are you still mad at me?' she asked. 'Yes' he pouted. 'Do you still love me though?'. 'Yes Mommy, you know I do' he huffed. 'Good because I love you too'. Toni kissed her son goodbye as the teacher allowed them into the classroom before pulling Ms Smith to the side to explain the situation. His teacher was more than sympathetic and understanding assuring Toni she'd keep an extra eye on Tommy in case he got overwhelmed. Toni thanked her before leaving for her hospital appointment. As she expected her hand had healed fine and she was able to have the cast removed.

After what seemed forever she was finally home. She quietly walked up the stairs in case her girlfriend was sleeping but when she carefully pushed open the door she saw Cheryl sat up as she left her in bed. 'Hey baby' Toni smiled sitting on the edge of the bed. 'Hi TT, how was Tommy?' she asked. 'He's mad at me for taking him away from you but apart from that he's fine' Toni joked. 'I'm sorry' Cheryl apologised. 'Don't be, it's not your fault' Toni reached across the bed taking the redheads hand in her own 'do you need anything?'. 'Some attention' Cheryl nodded. 'My pleasure' Toni smiled as she crawled across the bed wrapping her arm around her girlfriend. 'All healed up?' the redhead asked. 'Yep, as good as new' Toni nodded. 'Good' Cheryl smiled as she turned her head against Toni's shoulder to look at her. Toni smiled kissing the redheads plump lips, Cheryl deepened it and Toni happily complied until it got too heated and she pulled away. Cheryl let out a frustrated sigh as she leaned back against Toni's arm. 'I'm sorry Cher, I just can't risk hurting you right now' Toni apologised, of course she wanted Cheryl but she really didn't want to hurt her. 'It's fine, I get it' Cheryl nodded, she thought that Toni was put off by the way she looked right now but chose not to say it. 'Is everything okay?' Toni frowned. 'Yeah, of course it is' Cheryl nodded her eyes fixed to the tv. Toni could tell she was lying but didn't want to push it right now in case it ended in a fight.
