I was working away on some new lyrics to send to Marcus since I finished my paperwork and Spencer or anyone else wouldn't give me any of theirs.
'Fooey!'
"Ashley." Aaron called making me turn to see him standing next to my desk so I closed my lyric book.
"Yes Bossman?"
"A little birdie I'll call them, told me you wanted to meet my son." He told before showing a small child to me.
"Hiya little one." I told as a smile grew on my face.
"So you actually like kids?" He questioned as I held my hand out for him to play with.
"Yeah. I know I don't seem like one who would, but I think children are absolutely adorable. I actually helped raise my baby siblings when I was growing up, so I've grown fond of the little humans on earth as well as respect what parents go through to raise them."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Especially parents who work in high risk jobs. They try to make the world better so that not only their children are more safer, so are the other kids who live on this planet." I told seeing him give a smile.
Soon his name was called for a meeting he had to go to making him turn back to me.
"Could you watch him while I do this?"
"Yeah. What's his name?"
"Jack."
"Come on Jack. I've got some things we can draw with." I told as he came over and I picked him up before putting him in my lap.
We waved bye to Aaron as he went for his meeting and I grabbed the things I use for drawing. By the time Spencer came back he had a smile on his face.
"You got to meet him."
"I'm watching over him while Aaron has his meeting. Did you tell him?"
"No. I swear I didn't."
"Ashley why do you have a kid?" Aunty asked
"I'm watching over him while Aaron is in a meeting. Besides I finished all my paperwork so it gives me something to do."
"Alright. Do you have the file I asked you to do?"
"Yeah. It's at the top of the pile." I told making her nod.
After another half hour or so we were able to make a fort under the desk making Spencer get scared when I kept untying his shoes through the small gap till he worked it out.
"Why are you under there?" He asked on the other side of the desk.
"It's a little fort. Wanna join?"
"When did you grab all these things?" He asked once he popped his head in.
"Lost and found. It was when I was coming back from the toilet. You coming in?"
"Sure."
He climbed in and sat next to me as Jack drew his family and us. We saw a shadow from outside the fort and then it opened to reveal Aaron.
"You know when Penelope told me you liked kids, I didn't think you would make a fort. Impressive."
"Thanks Aaron. Wanna join the solitude of Jack?"
"Will I be able to fit?"
"Yeah."
He crawled in and sat down across from us.
"Where did you get all this?"
"Lost and found. I'll return it after this."
"Good to know. So what are your siblings like?"
"Which one?" I joked making us smile. "They are actually really sweet. They absolutely adore Spencer and try to see if he can lift them and hang off his arms like how are Unkie did it when we were all growing up."
"Is there a reason you don't talk about your family?"
"Yeah. Just stuff I don't really like talking about." I told.
"That's understandable." He told making me smile.
'He's great. Reminds me of Unkie a little bit.'
