I was working away in my studio with music playing, while I was making pearl necklaces since I was bored and had a bunch of shark teeth laying about still when Penelope's head popped in.
"There you are. I've been walking around here calling for you." She told as she walked in more.
"Sorry. I have music playing in here so I don't hear things most of the time." I told as I turned it down so we weren't trying to speak over it to hear one another.
"It's so strange to think you have rooms like this in your place."
"Makes sense. Feel free to sit and knit."
"So where did you get all these painting?"
"Oh, I did them. The others out there are mostly from my brother Peter or my cousin Angie."
"You paint?"
"Yep. I have a BA in it, actually."
"You really are creative."
"Yeah whole family is really."
"So what are you making?" She asked as she sat in a chair near me.
"Pearl necklaces and some ones with shark teeth."
"Your tying knots at the end of each bead though?"
"Well yeah. Cheap ones don't do knots on each side. Authentic ones do, so they are more secure and if it breaks only only like one or two fall. But more dramatic if they all fell in movies, shows and books."
"It's always interesting to me how much you know. I mean Spencer's smart and knows a lot but your more street then book smarts."
"Oh no I'm both. I'm book and street smarts. I just don't say any books smarts stuff while the team is around due to me not wanting to step on his toes."
"That's so sweet."
"Don't tell him he doesn't know."
"I won't."
"Wanna make some with me? I've got a bunch to go through." I stated showing her the bowl of pearls that didn't even look like I made a dint in.
"I can try."
"Sick. I'm making them for all the chicks on our team as well as some friends I've got in Santa Barbara and Pennsylvania and my family. Memaw Iris can take them up to my cousins in Africa and what not when she goes up next."
"Oh fun. I didn't know you had family up there."
"Yeah. Spencer's never met that side of the family if I'm being honest. But I hope he gets to one day."
"Sounds lovely."
"It really does."
