I parked my car close to the entrance of the Jeffersonian from the parking lot and began to make my way to the entrance when I heard someone speak.
"Dr. Brennan. Dr. Brennan?" They spoke making me look around to see someone moving towards a car and stop.
I saw some light and saw a car speed towards the person making me rush towards them. I didn't see where the person went after the car temporarily blinded me but I kept rushing across the parking lot to stop them. Once I was near I saw them putting people in the back of their truck making me run faster. Once they heard me they turned around just as I threw the first punch to them. After a few punches from the both of us, they fell to the ground and I rushed to the back to see Temperance and Jack knocked out.
'What the fuck?!'
I soon heard them come up behind me, making me do a high kick to make them stumble back before I turned around to punch them only for them to catch my fist. Before I could quickly react I felt two metal prongs go into my neck, electrocuting me till I pass out.

"You will never escape me. You will die in that car!"

I quickly sprung out of bed and began to hyperventilate. I quickly took in my surroundings to see it was my room and that it was in fact 2:30 am.
'I thought the dreams stopped by now?'
I grabbed my phone and called Shawn since I knew he worries about my dreams.
"Hello?" He told with sleep in his voice.
"Hey."
"Ash?..... it's 2:30 what's wrong?"
"I had one of those dreams. You know from when I was in Washington."
"I thought those stopped?"
"I thought they did as well. Turns out they were not."
"You ok? I know you don't like talking about what happened, but I worry."
"I'll be ok. Not like it's not the first time I've nearly died."
"Yes, but you still are suffering from it. I mean, you didn't come back home for three months after that and when you did you didn't talk about what happened. I'm worried that this whole thing is going to just suddenly burst and who knows what will happen from that."
"I promise, if I get close to the whole serial killer mode, you will be the first to know."
"You know, it's lonely without you at home."
"I miss you as well."
"How many weeks till you visit?"
"6 weeks."
"And you can't come any sooner?"
"Nope. Erin will have my head if I tried."
"I just might have to come see you sooner if that's the case."
"Really now?"
"Really."
"Don't tell me that cause you are gonna get me prayin' and then I'll be disappointed when it doesn't happen."
"Then pretend I didn't say anything." He told making me smile before I saw the time, reminding me how late it was.
"We should hang up."
"I don't want to."
"How 'bout this. Make sure your phone is plugged in, and we can sleep on call."
"The bill is going to be big though."
"It's either we hang up or we stay on call. Besides, I can pay for your bill if need be."
"You already brought the house I'm living in cause you went to Virginia. I don't want you paying for my phone bill as well."
"I will only pay if you are ok with it."
"Ok fine. We are gonna sleep on call together." He told making me get comfy with my phone close to me.
"I thought you would pick that one."
"Yeah yeah. You know it all." He told making us quietly chuckle.
We ended up getting quiet, and slowly began to fall back asleep when Shawn spoke up again.
"Hey Ash?"
"Yeah Shawn?"
"I love you."
"I love you as well." I told before falling back to sleep.
