(Ash p.o.v)

I was getting everything ready when my door was knocked on.
"It's open!" I exclaimed since Spencer was meant to come over.
"Hey!" Penelope called making me look to see her carrying the trays I had asked to borrow since I was missing some.
"You came at the perfect time." I admitted.
"You bake?"
"Yeah. Mostly just the stuff in boxes." I told taking them from her and walking over to the clear counter space.
"Hey Ash!" Spencer called as he came in.
"In the kitchen!"
He entered the kitchen and gave a wave to Penelope once he saw her.
"Is she going to be helping?"
"Don't know. Depends I guess."
"Depends on what?" She asked.
"How good with kids are you?" I asked.
"What?"
Before I could answer my legs were tackled into a hug making me smile. I looked down to see Abigail smiling up at me.
"Did you clean your hands?"
"Yep." She told showing me them.
"Good girl." I told picking her up and having her sit on the counter. "Abby, this is Spencer."
"Unkie Spence?!"
"That's the one. I knew you'd remember." I told making her giggle.
"Hey Abigail." He told making her smile up at him.
She looked towards Penelope and instantly went to hide her face behind me causing me to smile and chuckle.
"She gets shy meeting new people. Abby, this is our good friend Penelope Garcia. Pen, this is Abigail or as most call her Abby."
"Hey Abigail." She told smiling and gave her a little wave.
"Hi." She told as she still hid behind me so only Penelope could see her eyes.
"I heard you like Dirk Gently."
As soon as those words were said, Abby's eye lit up and she stopped hiding behind me.
"I do!"
"You know what we could do? We could watch the show and eat whatever batter is left." I told as we mirrored one another's smiles.
"No such thing will be happening!" Lucy told as she walked into the kitchen.
"Fine." I told before looking over to Abby and gave a little sign to her as I mouthed only a little to her making her giggle.
"Ashley. Don't make me put you in time out."
"I did nothing wrong. I was only making funny faces. Ain't that so Abby?"
"Right."
"You two are such troublemakers." She stated.
"I think, she is just taking after her favourite aunt."
"Mhmm." She told before turning her attention to Spencer. "It's good to see you again, Spencer."
"Good to see you as well Lucy."
"Still a tall fella." She told as Abby played with my necklace.
"Also still a baby face."
"Really?"
"Yep." I told before Lucy saw Penelope.
"Oh dear. I didn't know you were here I am so sorry. I'm Lucy, Abby's mother."
"Penelope. I'm one of Ashley's and Spencer's friends from work."
"It's so good to meet you. Please tell me Ashley has been safe during work, we worry about her." Lucy told making me signal to Penelope not to tell her anything bad.
Lucy went to look towards me making me act like nothing was wrong and gave her a smile, so she turned back to Penelope.
"She is as safe as she can be in that field of life." She told making me mouth thank you.
"Yo Ashley! When's the godfather coming?" Stan questioned as he dried his hands coming into the kitchen.
"He's busy with a case. But we can call him later and maybe if we are lucky, we can face time."
"Unkie De!"
"Yeah Unkie De!"
"Hey. I'm Stanford or Stanley or just Stan. It just depends on the person." Stan told towards Penelope.
"Stanley?"
"Yep."
"Like Stanley Harper? Ashley's father?!"
"Oh no." We all told confusing her.
"No no. They just have the same name somewhat." I explained.
"Oh that makes more sense."
"Can we bake now?"
"Of course Bumpkin. Cupcakes, cakes or cookies?"
"Cupcakes!"
"Cupcakes?"
"Yep!"
"Then we are making cupcakes and we can certainly not eat the left over batter because mum has said no and we are definitely going to listen to mum."
"I'm watching you two." She told making us laugh before turning to Penelope. "Are you joining us?"
"If it's alright with you guys." She told making me smile towards her.
"Pen, it's more then alright." I told causing her to smile.
"Then I'm joining."

"And then, we decorated the cupcakes once they cooled. But we aren't allowed any until daddy comes back with mummy with dinner." Abby told as we sat on my bed with the computer in front of us.
"You did all that?!" Dean asked smiling as she gave a nod.
"Yep!"
"Probably best to wait till after dinner. Wouldn't want to ruin it."
"I suppose."
"How have you been going?" I asked.
"Going well. We finished a case earlier and waiting to head out tomorrow."
"Things good?" I asked making sure not to say anything that might make Abby question the line of work or what's going on with him and his brother.
"Yeah getting there."
"Are you not being safe?" Abby asked.
"No sweetie. I'm being completely safe, Sammy just keeps forgetting to get me pie is all."
"But, pie is good."
"Pie is good. Next time I see you, we will have a big slice of pie."
"Really?!"
"Really sweetie."
"We're back guys!" Her parents exclaimed making me smile towards Dean.
"We gotta go. Din din is here."
"Enjoy the meal. I'll probably crash after this." He told making us chuckle.
"Bye Unkie De!"
"Bye Sweetie."
"Be safe Dean."
"I will Darling." He told with a small smile that I returned before hanging up.
'Sometimes I wish I didn't have that movie deal..... but then I wouldn't be happy with Shawn who I love dearly. The world works in mysterious ways.'
I looked onto my side table and saw the small silver band I still held onto.
'Man, being a fake widow is weird.'
"Come on Bumpkin. Time to wash up for dinner." I told kissing the top of her head and helping her get to the floor safely.
