Since our hands were full for all the things we got, we couldn't knock. I gave a shrug before head butting her door, instantly regretting that.
"Why did I think that was a good idea?"
The door of coursed opened to show Penelope who had a confused look.
"That didn't sound like a proper knock."
"She head butted the door." Jj stated.
"That's such a tough wood, what the hell is it? Maple?"
"Why wouldn't you just knock with your foot?" Emily questioned as we walked in.
"Because I didn't think of that. I'm smart, I just don't think things through." I told as we put the things down.
"Let me get you some ice." Jj told as they chuckled and I held my head.
"Spencer is gonna be disappointed I did this.... Again."
"Again?"
"I do it a lot. Like I said, I'm smart just don't think things through." I explained as Jj handed my the ice pack. "Thanks."
"I don't want to bother you guys."
"Your hurt, and we are going to help cheer you up." Jj told as they went and comfort her.
"Yeah, you'd do the same for us." Emily added.
"You guys would just call Spencer to get into my place." I told as I gave a thumbs up.
'Mistakes were made.... I should make pancakes.'

I flipped the pancakes as the others sat and gossiped to help cheer her up, and I was making some calls.
"No. I told you Denis don't tell your brother."
"I can't blame him, he is smart."
"No you just can't keep your mouth shut."
"Ashley, is this wise?" Marcus asked.
"Yeah."
"Really? Going to a bar that you frequently play at and hide your identity so you can cheer your friend up who was hurt by a guy."
"Don't."
"Don't what?"
"Don't make it sound like it's a stupid idea, because she is hurt and I do not want her to hurt when I can do this and help cheer her up." I explained making him sigh.
"I'll be down in a few hours, and as payment, you can give me any new song you've been working on."
"On the other hand, you know you don't need to come down....."
"Nope! Too late. Should have thought of it before."
"Shit."
"See you soon Ash." He told before hanging up.
'One perk of having a phone. Just hate them though.'
I pocketed my phone before finishing the rest of the pancakes.
"Ladies! Pancakes!" I told making them come over.
"So, why pancakes?"
"When we were younger, my mother would make us pancakes whenever we were sad or hurt."
"Why?" Penelope asked as we poured syrup on them.
"She always said, 'Pancakes are good food to eat when you are sad or hurt. Because how can you be sad when you are eating pancakes?'. Besides pancakes are fucken delicious so what she said is correct."
"I mean, I will accept anything with syrup on it." Jj joked.
"Just 'cause you put syrup on somethin' don't make it pancakes." I joked slipping my accent.
"Your voice just changed." Emily pointed out.
"Voices change all the time. They adapt a little to the area you live in for however long. A child is more likely to take on accents while they are growing, till around the age of 12."
"No no. It changed like you have an accent." Penelope told.
"Trust me. If I had an accent you all would probably have found out long ago. Now eat. Pancakes are better when they are still warm."
'I'm getting too comfortable with them. I don't know how I feel about that.'

After a few hours of us just hanging out, Marcus sent me a message that he was at the cafe I like.
"Mhm! I gotta go ladies."
"What why?" Penelope asked.
"I need to get some food for my pets, as well as some new heat lamp light bulbs since my last one is not going all to well. Think it's on its last legs."
"You coming back tonight?" Emily asked making me shake my head no at it.
"It's weird doing ladies night without you. We feel bad you're back at your place at night." Jj told making me shrug.
"Ok, tonight Penelope. You three will need to head to the bar I play at for a surprise. I can not join due to the fact I have also some insects shedding and I need to make sure things go smoothly, since they can sometimes get stuck."
"A surprise?"
"Yep. For you."
"Would we get surprises if we get upset?" Emily asked.
"If I felt it would help cheer you up sure. But I really gotta go, so have fun ladies and make sure you all look cute!" I called as I walked towards the door.
"Why do we need to look cute?" Jj asked making me look at them.
"Oh wait. You three already do. Never mind then." I told smiling before leaving her place.
