"Ashley it's the reason I wanted you to come here in the first place. You were never going to be apart of the BAU the whole time. Just to get you comfortable before the real job you were hired for." She told making me sit right and look towards her with a shocked look.
"What?"
I was pacing back and forth in her office and Erin let out a sigh.
"Ashley will you please sit down."
"I'm sorry. Does me pacing stress you out Aunty?"
"I worry every time you pace. Something you and your mother share. Now please sit down." She told making me do so.
"What do you mean the real job I was hired for? You hired me to be an agent for the BAU. I accepted the job, I'm doing the job."
"Quite well."
"And now your telling me this isn't what I was hired for?!"
"Exactly."
"No."
"Ashley."
"No! I don't want to hear what it's about. I don't want to leave the BAU, I'm happy on the team. Spencer is on the team I'm not leaving him again so soon."
"It's not your choice."
"I have a debt to pay."
"Yes you say that. Though I don't know what debt."
"Spencer was kidnapped.... He wouldn't have been if I was there."
"You didn't know."
"I promised Mike I'd look out for Spencer and he promised Mike he'd look out for me."
"You don't mention Mike."
"Same reason I don't like mentioning my mother."
"Look, this is important. Your skills are needed for this case. No one else could do it."
"But it means leaving the BAU."
"It's means leaving the FBI base and everything you love and care for."
"I have to leave everyone?"
"Everyone. Friends, jobs, your family.... Everything that's a weakness and could make the job go wrong."
"I can't abandon my family."
"Your family will be safe."
"Safe? My family have never been safe."
"You don't need to look out for them all. I mean, Tyler and Flynn are 21 now. They aren't children."
"They are still my baby siblings. And yeah Peter is older then me by three minutes but I still protect him."
"Peter lives with Edger and Edith. Who can protect them while you are on this case. And Tyler and Flynn both go to University in Virginia so I can keep an eye out for them while you are gone. You need to take this case Ashley, you were hired for this reason."
