The group has been in Wakanda for about a month and a half, Wanda was in communication with Vision, safely so she didn't reveal their location. Overall spirits were high, people were happy. Most people that is, on most days. On this day however two people were very much not happy, one more then the other.

Marley woke up the way she always does, with Sam. They were facing each other, Marley pulled close to his bare chest her head tucked in under his chin. As soon as she awoke she wishes to go back to sleep. Today was a day that she still hasn't gotten over, she remembers it as clear as day. She walked into the house Sam and Riley following behind. That's the day she lost the most important man in her life, the day she'll never forget.

She didn't even know she started crying, she didn't feel the tears streaming down her face as she pushed herself closer to Sam. This slight movement woke the man up, he was caught off guard by the movement but quickly wrapped his arms around his girl. When he did that however he felt Marley's body shake with quiet sobs. So he held her, he didn't ask questions, he didn't force her to speak, he let her do what she needed to do.

Once she had calmed significantly he slid out of the bed saying something about getting breakfast and walking out of the room.

Marley and Sam spent their morning together in their room. Nobody asked questions, or tried to talk to them. In the morning Sam had told them that Marley wasn't feeling well and the team being who they were respected that and have her space.

"What do you think he would say if he saw us right now?" Marley softly asked Sam. They were currently sitting on the bed in each other's arms looking out the window.

"Well first he would probably say it's about time you two got together, " San starts before letting out a chuckle. "He always did make fun of how close we were, " Marley let's out a small laugh.

"Yeah, then he would probably comment on how we are running from the government, "

"No, how I'm running from the government, you didn't do anything."

"I'm with you Sam, in now an enemy of the government." Marley said a small frown falling on her face as she thought about what her late father would say.

"Hey, " Sam says tilting her head to look at him. "He would be proud of you, of us, we stuck to our guts, did what we thought was best. Thats all he ever taught us to do. Remember what her would always say?" Marley closes her eyes as a tear slides down her face.

"Never let someone make your decisions for you," She fills in, Sam nods his head gently.

"Yeah," There was a beat of silence, "why don't we go find some friends? We could use some happy. " Sam suggests looking into his lovers eyes. She nods her head in agreement and together they slide out of bed and out the door. Hand in hand they walk down the halls in search of someone to take their minds off the acheing pain of loss.
