"Cap, we got a situation out here," Sam says over the comms as an alien ship comes speeding towards the barrier. Marley,Steve, T'challa, and Nat move to the window to see the Ship get closer to the barrier at an alarming speed before it comes in contact with the field. resulting in a destroyed vessel.
"God, I love this place," Bucky mumbles as they watch the attack vessels get destroyed by the force field.
"Yeah don't start celebrating yet we've got more incoming outside the dome," Rhodey says now suited up fully in his War machine armor. Steve and T'challa exchange worried looks as the three new ships land, this battle is going to be much larger than anticipated.
"It's too late we must destroy the stone," Vision says as he attempts to sit up and slide off the table, Marley is at his side in a matter of seconds pushing him back down.
"Get your ass back on the table," She says forcing Vision to return to his spot on the table.
"We will hold them off," T'challa says as he walks with Okoye and the guards to the door.
"As soon as that stone is out of his head you blow it to hell," Steve says waiting for her to reply before following T'challa out the door.
"Do you need any back up up here?" Marley asks as Nat follows Steve.
"We should be good, go out on the field, help the team," Wanda says and Marley nods her head following the group out the door.
"Evacuate the city, engage all defense procedures and someone..." T'challa stops and points at Steve. "get this man a shield,"
The group resumes walking through the halls occasionally picking up random supplies that might be helpful on the field. Eventually they get outside regrouping with the other heroes that stayed outside to watch. Marley breaks away from the group walking over to Sam. to say she was on edge was an understatement, the three ships on the other side of the force field towered over everyone, who knew what those vessels contained. The group walks towards carriers, once they bored the carriers take them out away from the city to the field in between the barrier and the city. Rhodey was keeping up in the sky, with Bruce running next to them in a suit of armor.
"How we looking Bruce?" Nat asks as she watches him from the carrier.
"Yeah I think I'm getting the hang of it," He leaps over a rock and continues jogging keeping up pace with the carrier. "wow! it's like being the Hulk with out actually-" He gets cut off with a grunt as he trips over another rock, Okoye gives him a doubtful look from the carrier as her slowly gets back to his feet. "I'm good, I'm good."
"I got two heat signatures breaking through the tree line," Rhodey says from above, the carrier swerves in a U-turn allowing the practiced soldiers and avengers to slide off. The group gets into position as the last Wakandans join their ranks. Suddenly a chant is heard across the field as the Jabari tribe comes towards the army.
"Thank you for standing with us," T'challa says clasping wrists with M'baku who says something in another language. The Jabari tribe falls into position with the rest of the group as Steve, Nat and T'challa walk towards the barrier and the two figures that are now visible through the tree line.
Marley turns to her right pulling Sam into an embrace not saying a word. They stand like that Sam watching the trio approach the barrier, Marley hiding her face in Sam's chest.
"Sam," Marley says as the trio starts to make their way back to the group.
"Yeah," he replies looking down at Marley who still had her arms wrapped around his chest.
"I'm scared," The girl says taking a deep breath.
"You have nothing to be scared of, whatever is on those ships we can handle, Shuri is going to get the stone out of Visions head and Wanda is going to destroy it, and everything is going to be fine," He says gently placing a soft kiss on her forehead.
"But what if someone doesn't make it out of here a live?" Marley asks pulling away and looking Sam in the eyes.
"That's not going to happen,"
"But you don't know that,"
"Did they surrender?" Bucky asks drawing the duo out of their conversation.
"Not exactly," Steve replies standing back in line facing the barrier. The group watches as aliens flow out of the ships one right after another, there were so many, too many.
"What the hell," Bucky says astonished by the number of aliens waiting on the order to attack.
"Looks like you pissed her off," Marley comments as she watches more aliens exit the ship. Suddenly Proxima Midnight (yes i looked up the names ) drops her sword signaling the aliens to attack. The aliens run towards the barrier inevitably dying when they come into contact with the force field.
"they're killing themselves,"Okoye says in horror as the group watches the aliens pus bodies and limbs through the force field only for those parts to be cut off. The boarder tribe puts up their shields as the kingsgaurd fire at the few aliens on T'challas command. Sam flies red Wing into the fight to help and get a closer look at the aliens.
"Have you guys seen the teeth on these things?" Sam questions as he looks at the camera feed red wing is giving him, Marley looks over Sam's shoulder to get a closer look at what they have to defeat.
"Alright Sam back up or you're about to have a singed bird," Rhodey says over the comms and Sam directs red wing back to him as Rhodey drops multiple mines killing majority of the Aliens that have slipped through the barrier. Marley notices the large group of aliens slowly moving to the side, going around the force field.
"Cap, if these things circle the perimeter and get behind us..." Marley says trailing off as she looks back at Steve.
"There's nothing between them and Vision," Bruce finished fearfully.
"Then we better keep them in front of us," Steve replies grimly.
"T'challa, how do we do that?" Okoye asks looking at her king.
"We open the barrier," T'challa turns on his comm and speaks into it. " On my signal open North-West section seventeen,"
"Requesting confirmation my king. You said open the barrier?" A voice asks through the comms.
"On my signal,"
"This will be the end of Wakanda," M'baku says to Okoye as they watch the aliens continue to kill themselves.
"Then it will be the noblest ending in history,"
