A/N: Another filler chapter then time is going to speed up quite a bit and things might get dramatic!! This one's also going to be rather short. Like most chapters in this part, I promise once we get into Part two I'll try to make the chapters a little longer.
3rd person POV
It was just another day at school for the three best friends, the morning classes were flying by and nothing dramatic was happening. Lunch rolls around and Marley gets stuck at her locker, by none other the Britney herself. You know Marley and Britney used to be best friends, they used to be a group of four instead of a group of three. But Sam and Riley saw a storm coming before it started looking cloudy, so they distanced themselves, got out while they could, not wanting to see Marley get crushed they tried to make her see sense. But she didn't no matter what they tried Marley wouldn't see their side, so she stayed being friends with Britney. Eighth grade goes by, then Freshman year, slowly Marley was being crushed under the weight of having practically two different friend groups. One day though that all changed. Britney watched as Marley walked into the school with two of her friends, the two that distanced themselves from Britney for no reason. If you asked her today she would deny it but at that time she was blinded by jealousy, pure raging jealousy. Why? you ask. Oh, it was because she didn't understand, she didn't understand why a girl that was less beautiful than her, got to be such close friends with two of the hottest boys in the school. That should have been her, was Britney's only thought when she spread those rumors all that time ago. Needless to say, their friendship has never been the same.
With that in mind, you now know why Marley being stopped by Britney was bad, it was always bad. One backhanded comment about Marley's dad. Marley ignores it, a second one, she ignores that too. But after a third and a fourth, she can't take it anymore.
"At least my father is serving our country, that's more than yours is doing. So now you better shut up before I slap the mother fucking smirk right off your face."
"Awww a threat from the itty bitty army man's daughter. How cute. Maybe if your daddy was home on a regular basis he could teach you how to hit, so maybe if you wanted to slap the smirk off my face you'd actually be able to hit it." It was at that moment all hell broke loose, not only did Britney insult Marley's father multiple times, she insulted herself and her being, and her ability to hit.
"You want to see if I can hit your face? Well, here I'll prove it to you." Without thinking Marley swings her arm, punching Britney in the face.
Remember how I said she wasn't cautious all the time, well this definitely wasn't one of those times. if she was cautious Marley would have seen one of Britney's goons walking away to get a boy toy to protect Britney. If she was cautious she would have seen said boy toy walking around the corner. if she was cautious she wouldn't have provoked a fight that she would try so hard to win, a fight that would end in Sam and Riley pulling Marley away before a teacher showed up and she got sent home.
