The boys had been back at the safehouse for about an hour. That entire time Sam hasn't left the room he shares with the light of his life. Marley means the world to him (it's obvious, and been mentioned many times before) he only wished she didn't have a scary best friend. Sam stares at the dirty off white ceiling laying on an air mattress in the middle of the floor. He didn't know when the girls were going to get back, he didn't know how he was going to get Nat by herself, and he didn't know what he was going to tell her. In theory he shouldn't have this much conflict, and worry in his mind. He loves Marley, more then anything, more then his own life, he knew marrying her was the right choice, and he couldn't wait much longer. His brain talked a lot, constantly expressing worries, and thoughts, usually he tuned them out but some he couldn't help but listen to. What if something happens to him? What if something happens and Marley is left remebering him as the man who knew her all her life, but was too chicken to propose. This is how he knew that he couldn't wait until something happens and his life is threatened he had to do it as soon as possible.

Three familiar voices rang out from underneath him. He could tell that it was the girls and Pietro, coming up from the basement. It's was an agreement between the group that they would always enter the house from the cellar. This way they know that anyone who approaches a door or window to the house is not welcome. Sam doesn't get up to greet the trio to lost in thought, so lost he didn't hear Marley walk into the room.

"Hey, you ok?" Marley asks sitting down on the air mattress next to Sam. Sam turns his head to face Marley, he slowly looks over her features. Her face that's only become more beautiful over the years, the haircut that frames her face perfectly. Everywhere he looked Sam couldn't find a thing to be upset about, that's why he couldn't stop the stupid grin that grew on his face when he met Marley's eyes. He was so stupidly in love with the woman in front of him.

"I've never been better," Sam replies truthfully before sitting up. The smile on his face doesn't falter as he wraps his arms around Marley gently pulling her down onto the mattress with him. Laughter erupts from Marleys throat as Sam tickles her sides.

"Stop Sam," Marley chokes out between laughs as she feels his fingers wiggle on her sides hitting every ticklish spot. "Come one, Steve said he wanted my help making food," Marley says in another attempt to get him to stop. This time though he thankfully stops shifting his weight so he was leaning over her.

Sam leaned down and gently kissed Marley on the nose making her let out a small giggle. He smiles at her reaction, he repeats the action causing her to giggle again.

"You, my dear are the best thing to ever happen to me," Sam says gently brushing Marleys hair behind her ear before leaning down to kiss her. "I'm sure Steve's waitin for you," Sam says standing up and extending his arm for Marley, together they walk down the hall.

Marley headed into the kitchen area while Sam looked for Nat, eventually he found her in her room.

"Hey Nat?" He says knocking on her door frame.

"Yeah Sam what's up?"

"I uh... Was wondering if we could talk for a minute," Sam looks up at the redheads face and immediately sees the narrowed eyes of silent judgement, slowly she nods her head. Sam walks the rest of the way into the poorly lit room, closing the door behind him.

"Whats going on?" Natasha asks as Sam sits down on the edge of the air mattress.

"Your Mar's best friend,"

"Yeah? We knew this information already,"

"Well since her fathers out of the question, and I'm pretty sure I'd know what he would say anyway. Im asking for your blessing," Sam says looking over his shoulder at Nat who drops her book as her eyes widen.

"I'm sorry my blessing?" Almost shouts.

"Quiet down the Walls aren't noise proof, "

"Wha- I'm sorry we're on the run. How did you think this was going to work? I mean how are you going to get a ring? We have money for the necessities and that's it,"

"I figured we're going to Wakanda soon,  I thought I could ask-"

"Shuri, " Nat says with a gasp as realization comes over her. "That was actually kind of smart I'll give you that,"

"Wow, did Natasha Romanoff just call me smart? " Sam says with a smirk on his face.

"Don't get smart with me," Nat chuckles lightly smacking Sam's arm. "I still haven't given you a blessing yet,"

"Ok, ok fair enough," Sam says raising his hands in defense. "What do you have to say about that blessing though?" Nat sighs contemplating her words.

"When I met Marley she was this shy girl, had trouble taking compliments, had trouble opening up to people. We just got her to crack open when you waltzed in and then boom all her walls broken down right then in there. She really does love you, she completely broke down when you first went with Steve. All her insecurities came rushing back. But then you come back, and in a matter of hours you fix her. You've known her for so long, you've both been through a lot just try not to break her. I know you would never intentionally do it so just don't do anything stupid."

"So... Is that a yes?"

"Yes you big lug head, if you want to propose to Marley you can," Nat says smiling at her friend. Sam's face breaks into and uncontrollable smile as he reached over to bring Nat into a hug.

"Thank you," He says after pulling away.

"Of course, I couldn't deny you my blessing, one you've known her longer then I have and two you guys are practically made for each other. " The duo hears their names called from the other side of the house knowing that there is food to be eaten the duo sprints off the mattress and out the door slowing down to a walk once they get closer to Steve and Marley, Pietro showing up a split second later.

"What has gotten you all smiley? " Marley asks noticing the smile that has not been erased from Sam's face.

"Ah, it's nothing," Sam says as he pulls Marley into a hug. "Just happy to be here with you,"
