The team was in a small town in Ohio, all was good, they weren't found out yet. Still it was only a matter of time before the cops noticed them, so they were still being careful. Nat had changed her hair, again, Steve was growing out his beard, Pietro had dyed his hair brown not that it stayed that way with his powers. Marley also changed her hair, cutting it so it was above her shoulders, it didn't changer her appearance much but she refused to do anything else to it.
The day was somewhat normal for the group, split up around town doing various things, Marley was with Nat, Sam with Steve, and Pietro by himself since he was speedy. Sam and Steve were walking around town, talking about various things.
"Hey, when do you think we're going back to Wakanda?" Sam asks as they walk around a store looking for extra clothes. It's been about a year since they left Wakanda, which means the group, minus Marley and Nat, have been on the run for a little over a year and a half.
"I don't know, probably soon. We'll have to talk it over with the rest of the rest of the group." Steve says looking through a stack of shirts for his size. "If I may ask Why?"
"I want to see If Shuri could make something for me," Sam says before pausing. "Well, for Mar I guess," Steve looks up at his friend.
"Are you saying what I think you're saying?"
"I don't know am I? I mean it feels like the right time, but we're also on the run from the government, so I don't really know anything at this point." Sam sighs.
"Do you love her?"
" Of course I love her, what are you and idiot? I have been head over heels in love with that girl since the day i graduated," Sam says, the duo now walking towards the cashier.
"Have you told Nat?"
"Hell no. She'll flip her shit."
"What makes you say that?"
" How exactly to you tell your girlfriends best friend that you want to propose, while you running from the government?" Sam says the last part in a hushed voice, keeping an eye out for listening ears.
"I don't know dude, but if you don't tell her now, she'll flip out even more." Steve says as the nice lady at the cash register checks them out.
"Yeah, I guess your right," Sam says. Steve pays for the supplies then the duo walks out of the store and back to the abandoned house they were staying in.
