(Y/F/I = your favorite instrument)
The bell rings.
 Finally.
You rush out of the classroom, shoving some short kid into a wall. You hear them yell in frustration behind you, but you don't have time to go back and apologize. Not that you were a rude person or anything, you just had to get out of there. People are eager to leave school for many reasons. Maybe they've had a long day, or maybe they have plans after school, or maybe they had a more important reason. Like you.
For the past three months you've been getting into some...trouble. Your parents were severely strict. Not the sort of strict where you're out past curfew for a few minutes and get a scolding, but the kind of strict where you don't even get to leave the house once you get home, unless of course they had a fancy dinner at one of their fancy friends' houses.
You run through the front doors, checking your watch in the process. 3:10. You had to be home by 3:20, the time you have your Y/F/I lesson everyday.
You're looking around the front of the school, seeing if anyone you know can maybe give you a ride. Most of your friends take the bus, but your 7th period class always gets out late so you can never make it. 3:15.  At this point you're just trying to find someone you maybe have a class with. You feel someone tap your shoulder. You realize you haven't been very subtle about totally freaking out because this boy has a concerned look on his face. "A- are you okay? " You recognize him. This is your chance.
"Hi, your name's Ponyboy, right? I'm pretty sure we have English class together. I don't know if you know me, but my name's Y/N and I really need to get home and I'm kind of in a hurry, would you mind maybe giving me a ride?" You must be extremely desperate because his face softens and he just nods his head, pointing to a truck pulling up. "My brother Darry usually drives me home, but I'm sure he can take you home too. Where do you live?" You let out a sigh of relief. You give him your address and you both hop in the truck.
On the car ride home you introduce yourself to Darry and make sure to thank both of them for their kindness. "So, Y/N, why are you in such a rush?" Ponyboy asks. "Oh, uh," you stutter, checking your watch once more, "my parents just really worry about me and I have to be home soon."
Speaking of which, it was 3:19 and you were on your street. You point out your house and thank Darry and Pony for being so generous. "Thank you so much, I'll see you tomorrow Ponyboy! " You smile and wave at him, running up the steps to your front door.
-time skip-
That was a few months ago, and you and Ponyboy have become very close since then. You two sit in class together, walk in the hallways together, eat lunch together, there really isn't a time when you aren't with one another. You've even met his gang, in which you've gotten close with them, too. Especially Darry, who seems to really like the influence you have on Pony. This is probably because you are always able to get Ponyboy to enjoy studying with you. Whether this was because he was very enthusiastic about the periodic table or because you wore low cut tops every time, as long as Pony was getting his grades up it didn't matter.
School's over now and you're debating whether or not you should head home yet. Your parents haven't become any less demanding, but at least you convinced them to move your lesson time to 4:30. "Pony! " You yell, causing the boy at the end of the hall to stop talking to some guy and come running to you. "Y/N! I haven't seen you since 6th period!" You shoot him an unamused look, "Which was like 30 minutes ago?" "Yeah but that's too long, I wanna be with you all the time"  Your face turns a light shade of pink. Should I tell him? What if he doesn't feel the same?
Oh yeah, not to mention how you've started to develop a slight crush on Pony. Well, maybe not slight, more like massive crush. "Y/N?" You realize you've been staring at him for the past couple minutes, lost in thought. "Huh? Oh, nothing, nope, nothing goin on over here, what's up with you huh, Pony?" You both burst into laughter as he yells, "Beat ya to the front doors!!"  "In your dreams, Ponyboy!"
You've been running through these crowded halls for about 3 years, no way in hell this boy was gonna beat you. You shove people here and there, but it doesn't matter, you're on a mission and nothing's gonna stop you.  You reach the front doors and rush through them to the outside, beating Pony by a few feet. "Man, how are you so fast?" He says all out of breath. "The question is, Ponyboy, how are you so slow?" You laugh as he wraps his arms around you and pulls you in for a hug. You both stand there, holding each other, stuck in the moment until you remember you're in school and there's a bunch of teachers around.
You pull away from the hug, "Well, Pony, I better get going home, you know my parents are gonna lose it if I don-" You're cut off by his lips crashing onto yours. You would push him away, given there was some major PDA going on, but you may never get this chance again. You kiss him back, only stopping when you each pull away for a breath. "Sorry.. I just have kinda been wanting to do that for a while now.." He rubs the back of his neck, his cheeks burning red. You just smile at him, "Well what took you so damn long, Ponyboy?"
He smiles at you once more, grabbing your hands. "I really love you, y/n"
"I love you too, Pony"
