Riiiiing.
I roll over and tuck my head under my pillow, trying to block out the noise.
Riiiiing.
I groan and turn to my nightstand, picking up the phone.
"hello?"
"Y/N! Glad ya picked up, how ya doin?"
"good until you woke me up"
"cmon! It's only midnight, surprised you weren't still up!"I sigh into the phone, "why are you callin?" I ask.
"oh, right, I have somethin here that I think you'll like"
"what is it?"
"it's a surprise!"
"Two-bit..."
"what? Come on over to my house and you'll see, and if you don't like it, I'll owe you one, savvy?"I fumble with the phone cord, debating on whether or not this was a good idea.
"alright, see ya in 10"
-time skip-
I align multiple pillows together, top to bottom, creating my diversion. I lay my comforter over the "body" and am pleased with the outcome. All I had to do now was leave the house without my mom and dad knowing, which was actually pretty simple. My room was on the ground floor, so sneaking out wasn't something new.
I unlock my window and lift it up with ease, quickly and quietly slipping out of my room. I felt slightly uncomfortable, given I was wandering the streets alone, at night, in short-shorts and a t-shirt, but I don't live too far away from Two-bit so I wasn't too worried.
I walked up to his front porch and lightly tapped on his door, not wanting to wake anyone else up. The door swings open and I'm greeted by an overly excited Two-bit, who had the biggest smile on his face. He stands in the doorway and grabs both of my hands, "close your eyes, I'll lead the way". I laugh and shut my eyes, "you better not let go" I say, following his lead.
I hear the door shut behind us, "I promise, just watch out for the-" I yelp and grab my side, "the table?" "whoops, sorry!" He puts his hands on my waist and turns me to face a certain way before letting go and stepping back.
"okay, open your eyes!"
I open my eyes to see a small blanket fort constructed in the living room. There were pillows, blankets, and some of Two-bits little sister's stuffed animals scattered around. I stand there, my eyes wandering from one thing to another. I was speechless. "I It's-" "amazing? I know, c'mon, let me show you the inside" I follow close behind him as he crawls into the fort. It was built to where a blanket draped over us, but an opening in front so we could see the T.V. "and now for the final touch.." he leaned forward and turned on Mickey Mouse. "who knew you were such a romantic?". "I try" he says, smirking.
I turn my gaze from the T.V to him, looking into his deep blue eyes. "I have to get something off my chest" I say. He turns to me and his face lights up, "is it your shirt, I hope it's your shirt, please.." I giggle and my eyes go wide. "Keith!" He had a grin plastered on his face, "okay, okay" I lean back into the pillows he had laid out and sigh. "how did I get so lucky?" He sits up and moves next to me, "I'm the lucky one, without you, I'd be sitting in a blanket fort on a Saturday night with my little sister" I laugh and he puts an arm around me.
"Oh! I can't forget.." I look at him in confusion as he crawls out of the fort to get something. "what're you-" He gets back down on his knees and comes in, two beers in his hands. "one for me, and one for you" He smiles at me before popping the caps off of both of them, handing one to me.
"to Mickey!" He clinks his bottle with mine.
I laugh, "to Mickey".
